In April while on tour, Cyrus lost her longtime friend and pet, Floyd.
It was hard on her. As a dog lover, I can understand her loss. “It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd.” Cyrus said. Her mother went out not long after she lost Floyd and got her a new dog. The singer gave that dog away causing an outrage among her followers. She said that she just wasn’t ready for love, yet.
How to Draw: Miley Cyrus
Cyrus posted a slew of photos on Instagram of her new beaux.
In one of the pictures, his wet little nose is pressed gently onto her forehead. His name is Emu and he’s not your typical dawg or rather dog, though. He’s bringing a fresh start for the singer. “I feel like this is a new beginning in so many ways. I feel a change coming on,” She posted.
Emu is different.
“He’s here and here to stay,” Says Cyrus on an Instagram post. “I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin’ him a secret ‘cause sometimes I'm weird like that.”

According to Women’s Health Magazine there is a difference. “If you've ever wondered whether there's anything to the notion of some people being dog people and others being cat people, now we know. People who prefer the same type of pet tend to share certain distinct personality traits, too.”

A Little Dirty?
Cat people are more introverted and dog people tend to be more extroverted and like to be outside.
Cyrus is definitely outgoing and extroverted so the generalization of her being a dog person sounds like it’s right on.
