Movie Trailer of the Italian Film "Malena"

Featured Italian Movie "Malena"

A bitter sweet movie told from the perspective of an adolescent boy. In a small Italian town a boy experiences strong feelings for the alluring Malena, played by Monica Bellucci.

With her husband fighting the war in faraway South Africa, Malena is the town beauty that all the men lust after and the women envy. So its no wonder that she soon occupies the boy's thoughts and his deliciously wicked and funny sexy fantasies.

Things a turn for the worst for Malena. When news of her husband's death reaches their town, th men in town starts to get restless with vicious rumor swirling around her.

The boy bears witness to her downward spiral of helplessness & misery. The vultures starts to circle her. She gets embroiled in a court and needs to repay her debt to the lecherous lawyer. She also becomes ostracized by the town because the women hate her beauty and the men is afraid of getting into trouble with their wifes. When the German soldiers arrive in town, she is forced to make use of her sexuality to survive.

This is definitely one of Giuseppe Tornatore's best work, right up there with classic masterpiece Cinema Paradiso.

You'll be transported to another place and time, with a perfect montage of love, innocence mixed in with a generous dose of lust and regret.

How Much Do You Love Me

Want to watch Ms Bellucci in her steamiest comedy yet? Then you got to watch "How Much Do You Love Me".

The story starts when a plain balding man meets a beautiful prostitute played by Monica Bellucci. He tells her that he has won the lottery and wants her to move in with him.

The fun begin when his close friend and trusted doctor insist on watching over his weak heart. "He cannot get too excited!" he says. The vicarious fun begins when his doctor, nosy colleagues, and even his neighbour, gets into the act.

Bernard Campan is spot on as the ordinary guy who desires what he cannot get. Watch for Gerard Depardieu memorable performance in a small but key role as Monica's old flame.

A Nice Poster from the Movie "La Riffa"

La Riffa

This is one of Monica Bellucci's earliest film works in a steamy starring role.

A very young Ms Bellucci is on screen most of the time which is a plus for her fans.

Here's how the story goes...

After the untimely death of her husband in a car accident, she experiences financial hardships and is forced to find a job to support her young son. Her well to do male "friends" starts to circle around her.

Her beauty is her downfall as it attracts the lecherous males and perverts out of the wood works. It's a pleasure to live vicariously through her affairs and encounters as she tries her best to adjust to life after her husband's death.

Monica Bellucci really shines when she plays the role of beautiful and vulnerable damsels in distress. I guess this is the film that started her on other films like the iconic "Malena".

Ms Bellucci's Memorable Roles in Hollyood

It quite a treat that Monica Bellucci have appeared in many hollywood blockbusters from the fantasy to the sci fiction.

Remember her as the vengeful Persephone in that sexy red dress? What about her as the scary yet strangely beautifully witch queen.
