Moon Faced I Stand Tinkling.
Moonfaced I stand tinkling
I often peep out at the moon
with a squinty eyed, sleep dusted face
framed by a glass squares reflection
in the wee hours when a wee wee calls,
I stand there in awe gazing at it's splendour
long after I am drained and weary,
caught up in the face of
all that its cratered countenance
has seen and realized
while standing vigil over our earth,
billions of lovers embraced under it's warmth,
as well as all the wars and famine, and peace,
that paraded their pains below it
and the endless souls that went passing it by
on their way to eternity,
soon enough I shake it off
and put my own moon back in my drawers
and toddle off to bed.....
