Most Moving Movie Moments

Throughout the years movies have had the ability to make people laugh and cry, they fill people with hope and inspire them in ways nothing else could. I have compiled a selection of the most moving movie moments that I have seen. Moments like the funeral scene in Steel Magnolias that no matter how many times I watch, it will always bring a tear to my eye and then make me laugh hysterically. Also moments like the "Yawp" scene in Dead Poets Society which has always been an inspiration that poetry can come from the most unlikely places. Or the pre-battle speach in Independence Day that for some strange reason always fills me with a sense of patriotism and the need to work together to accomplish a grand goal. Moments that no matter how many times I see them they touch me in some way.

Steel Magnolias - Funeral

Dead Poets Society - Yawp Scene

Titanic - Sinking Montage

Independence Day - Presidents Speech

Dead Poets Society - Oh Captain, My Captain

The Notebook **spoiler for ending**

I've seen many of the above-mentioned scenes. Steel Magnolia's was a real heart-breaker.

@Phoenix Steel Magnolia's is one of those movies I think all generations will adore. It doesn't matter if I have seen the movie for the beginning or just turned it on at that part, it gets me every time.

@Angela You have been such an inspiration to me. Thank you for coming back and for sharing :-)

What great choices! I'll never forget seeing "Steel Magnolias" in the theather when it first came out. In that scene I laughed and cried at the same time. It was exhausting.

Thank you Kathleen :-). Whenever I have a "I need to cry" moment I play that and the Titanic scene and I'm good to go.
