STARRING: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monagham & Vera Farmiga

Source

When I heard this was a movie about Jake Gyllenhaal waking up inside the body of another man, i naturally assumed it was the sequal to BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN... but, no. In this high-concept sci-fi by the director of MOON, a soldier is shocked to find his consciousness has been transported back in time into another bloke's mind - and he has eight minutes exactly before the guys death to learn who, how and why someone planted a catastrophic bomb on a train. Shit gets further tangled when he falls for a hottie on board, but each time he tries to change the past to save her, he fails, and must return to try again.

Gyllenhaal is seriously impressive in this movie, so good to see him finally nail down a role properly and not just stick with a good enough performance. Michelle and Vera, whilst not as famous as Jake both compliment his acting style perfectly and provide really good balance between his serious and sensitive sides in this movie. I certainly can't think of another actor that could possibly pull of the sort of role Jake has in this movie as there is a lot to be said about going from being very serious to emotionally attached within a scene. In my opinion this is probably the best film of its kind since INCEPTION, this one will keep you guessing right to the explosive end.

5/5

wow! I forgot about this movie! I really want to go see it sometime. If I can ever pull myself away from work. I am glad to know that it is a movie worth watching.

I saw this movie, and it's awesome! Not much of an action flick but there is some action. More of a mystery, but done very well.

I saw this film. It was really good. I liked how they tied everything together, and how almost every person in the film had something to do with the outcome of the story.

I certainly felt sorry for Jake Gyllenhaal's role in the film. But, it seems like this is something the military would do if there was a chance of it ever happening. He played the role brilliantly, and looked smoking hot doing it! I think he is one of the best actors I have seen in a long time. Percfect everything.
