Top Box Office Movies
I know this list is a little unusual because there were probably better, good or more moving, exciting, exhilarating movies but here is why these are on my top movie list. Iron Man, gosh, Robert Downey Jr., is a fantastic and gifted actor. The storyline was crude and raw at times but so real, that anybody could do what he did in creating Iron Man (if you had the imagination, creativity and money). But I loved the action scenes the most because, the reality that others just want to take from you and what you have accomplished was significant in this movie. But the triumph developed and come through when he (Tony Stark) won in the end. Just an extremely entertaining and exciting movie.
Seven Pounds, wonderful, sad, real and rare movie that touched my very soul. Will Smith made this movie so believable. The first 30 minutes was hard, I am not going to lie, but after I got through the first 30 minutes, man, that movie was soulful and heart wrenching. It just carried my emotions to a higher level and I understood and felt was he was portraying. I completely and totally related to this movie, no matter what happens, try and do what's right.
Let’s be honest, Twilight is not the best movie, but if you read the book first, then see the movie, it is a remarkable movie! The book, in my opinion, made the movie. Respectable actors and actresses in this movie, no doubt. But the storyline is what made this movie so successful. We all want to believe in true love between different species, that is the kicker here. We all want to believe that vampires are good guys, that they will do good and be suitable to live in our society. The old age story, bad guy meets good girl and falls in love, which this combination will always win out. If you haven’t read the book, you should, it’s that good.
I have a young son and we have “movie night” once a week. After a while they all seem the same to me, but we sit, watch and discuss each after the movie. Talking about these shows opens the doors of communication between child and parent. Anyway, Bedtime Stories are one of those movies, I could watch over and over. It is impressive because it is a simple movie that emphasis's, believing and hoping in others will win out in the end. Such a great kid’s movie and adults will love it too. Talented young actors in this movie but truly a fun, entertaining, feel-good movie for all to enjoy.
I have seen all four of the Indiana Jones series, but I really liked the 4thmovie the best. I heard good and bad reviews for this movie. After I watched it wIth my son, I loved it. Because we talked about living in the 50’s, about archeology, gems and old cars that normally we would never really discuss. But this movie was very entertaining and I thought Harrison Ford look awesome, old but rugged in a very handsome sort of way. The action was tremendous and electrifying, Harrison Ford did an outstanding job in this film.
I am sure you have other movies in 2008 that you liked better but if you haven’t seen any of these, then watch them, because they are thrilling, superb and moving. All are different an unique but most of all, they are entertaining and I enjoyed them very much.
