Music Video Review: "Moment 4 Life" by Nicki Minaj f/ Drake

The following dialogue is a quoted conversation between two young boys, word for word, which I overheard while riding the subway a couple weeks ago:

Little Boy: Yo, you know Nicki Minaj and Drake are married, right?

Teenage Boy: They married? Naw, wait a minute, how?

Little Boy: You know that video, "Moment 4 Life"?

Teenage Boy: Yeah.

Little Boy: That's where they got married. That was the wedding.

Teenage Boy (dumbfounded): Oh...

I'm not sure what aspect of this asinine conversation is sillier -- The fact that a teenager can be stupid enough to believe anything that a little boy says or the fact that any dim-witted idiot believes that the wedding depicted in Nicki Minaj's video, "Moment 4 Life", was an actual wedding. Hmm, maybe both.

Either way, it sounds like Nicki Minaj's co star here, Drake, isn't too bright himself based on this direct quote when referencing the music video for "Moment 4 Life":

"The twist of it all, the concept of it, I don't want to give it all away."

Give what away exactly? There's some fairy tale mumbo-jumbo, Nicki Minaj is playing her usual retarded self, there's a mansion, a ballroom full of artsy-fartsy types in suits and dresses, and some fireworks. Bang! That's the concept of Nicki Minaj's "Moment 4 Life" in a nutshell. What was Drake trying to avoid spoiling again? I guess birds of a feather do flock together after all.

So Nicki Minaj's idea behind this turd of a music video was that she and Drake were getting married along with some fairy tale themes thrown in. It starts with the Retardtress™ sitting in a fairy tale-stylized bedroom, big dress and all, doing her make-up and hair. Suddenly, her fairy godmother appears and there's about a minute of nonsensical expository dialogue exchanged between them, something about Nicki Minaj having this moment for life tonight (whatever).

The dimwitted godmother grants the other dimwit a special ed, I mean special pair of heels and disappears. The song finally begins, Nicki Minaj raps in a ballroom while Drake watches her from a balcony, then they're standing in a hall together, Drake performs by a fireplace, then they wed and kiss at the end as fireworks ignite in the background.

Wow, I'm on the edge of my seat, how about everyone else? This has to be the most exciting Hip Hop music video since Biggie's "Hypnotize". I'm looking forward to the sequel music video to this where they get divorced, titled "Dim-Wittow 4 Life".
