The Music And Culture Of South America.

Music to listen to with your heart and soul, where language doesn't really matter.

There is music, poetry and songs that transcends the language created all throughout history all over the world, and as I've grown older I've been opening my ears and mind to more and more different music from all over the world from all ages of history and from very different cultures. That fact brings me to share some music from the corner of the earth where I am originally from and it is my belief that if you literally understand what the themes of the songs are about you should be able to get a general idea of the meaning and spark some curiosity to discover more sounds ,different sounds and through music,be able to understand that although human beings from different places may have very different cultures and traditions. However different, no one group of men or women possesses in their trove of historical treasures more wealth than any other, but only different.

The Music of Uruguay

The music of Uruguay is related to the music of the region the country is in.Rio Grande do Sul ,and the southern part of Brazil,Paraguay, and the provinces of Misiones ,Entre ,Rios, Buenos Aires and La Pampa in Argentina. But as a sub-region which La Banda Oriental ,(predecessor of what today is Uruguay) is ,the music of Uruguay has had its own development and evolution as represented by,Cielitos,Milonga,Tango,Candombe,La Polca,El Chote , which later all came to live under the big umbrella of what was named Folklore and even more recently Canto Popular. But the music of Uruguay has also been enriched by the influence of Rock and Roll,Jazz and Bossa Nova, if you open your ears and your mind you will be able to identify rhythms and music from all over the world embedded in the Uruguayan music but it is incorporated and transformed in such a way that a whole new sound has been born.

Wando .Song : Fire and Passion.

The music of Brasil.

The music of Brasil is the most influenced by African culture, and its importance is amplified by the "Carnaval" of which the two largest manifestations are in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador de Bahia. In the decades beginning in the late 1960's a musical movement known as MPB OR Musica Popular Brasileira was born and it included such Brasilian Music Giants as Vinicius de Moraes,Toquinho ,Antonio Carlos Jobim,Joao Gilberto,Chico Buarque,Caetano Veloso,Gal Costa,Gilberto Gil,Maria Bethania,Tim Maia,Roberto Carlos,Daniela Mercury,Ivete Sangalo.

I can't view Hubpages videos, so I can't comment on the first one, but of those you included below the text, I LOVED the 3rd one with the audience singing along. I just wish you had given a little textual description of what each of the videos was about - the topic of the songs, for example. I don't speak much Spanish, so I couldn't really tell.
