My First Professional Recording Session

The Best Day Ever!

I have to say that this past Saturday was the most amazing experience that I have had in a very long time. Last month I scheduled a four hour recording session with a talent young man named Cody Hazelwood that owes his own home studio in Murfreesboro, TN. We were able to complete four new tracks for my musical, The Frog Prince, and they are now in the process of being mixed and mastered. I am very excited and pleased with the quality of the recordings.

The following songs were recorded:

  • The Spell (Instrumental only)
  • I Just Want to Be Free
  • Big Burtha
  • Man of Your Dreams

I actually did all the vocals for Big Burtha and Man of Your Dreams. For the select few people that have actually heard the rough draft, they absolute loved them. It seems everyone's favorite was Big Burtha, which is a very humorous piece of music with some funny voice techniques and sounds used. I have to say that I am really pleased. Mr. Hazelwood charges only $25 an hour which is a great price for the quality that I am getting. I highly recommend him.

I was joined this day also by Ms. Jennifer Brindisi from Murfreesboro, TN as well. She is a talented songwriter and singer. She did the vocals for I Just Want to Be Free. It turned out absolutely beautiful! I can not wait now for the songs to be mastered and given back to me! Such an excited part of my career right now!

Thanks for being a part of my creative process!

Congratulations on the professional recording session. I wish I knew more people that were connected with the music industry, or at least someone with lots of cool music equipment. One day I plan to have a professional recording session as well.
