Famous Kids: Noah Cyrus And The Vampire Look

Cyrus? Why does that name ring a bell? I know! It must be Billy Ray Cyrus. Not? Okay, what about Miley? Still not? Noah? Who's that?

Noah Cyrus is an ordinary nine year old girl caught up in paparazzi scandel. For what? Dressing up as a vampire. Now when one thinks vampire, the thought of teeth, blood and a striking pale figure jumps to mind. Well, this little girl is pale, bares her teeth in a smile and is warm blooded. But for Halloween, Noah made a fatal mistake. She dressed up as a vampire.

There is nothing wrong with dressing up like a vampire. With all of the Twilight mania and The Vampire Diaries reviews, a vampire is the ultimate dress up! So why was it such a scene when little Noah stepped out onto the red carpet as a vamp? Perhaps the dress she wore was too short but then again, it could be the fact that she wore red lipstick.

Either way, this is yet another critical approach from the media. Just because Noah is related to the famous Miley Cyrus, what she wears becomes an issue. She is but a child and should be allowed to wear what she wants, but because she's a nine year old mini celebrity, she is followed around and hunted by the dog like papparazzi. If Noah was an ordinary child with no famous relatives, she wouldn't be noticed and her costume would be simply that. A costume.

Remarks have been made about Noah's costume. One person said it was a "trashy" vampire outfit and too sexy. "What is she dressed as? A child prostitute? They didn't even try to disguise it with a witch's hat or cat ears or anything," another said. I say : She is nine! Leave the poor girl alone. If you can talk about sexy and a nine year old in the same sentence, then it's you with the problem, not the little girl. She picked the outfit. YOU called it sexy. In regards to her sister, Miley Cyrus doesn't HAVE to be a role model. It's not her responsibility. That's what kids have parents for. Parents are blaming children on tv for the way their own children are behaving because they aren't doing a good job as parents. Think about it, it's not up to a 17 year old to influence the world's children to do right and wrong. She's growing up, and while she does that, she makes cute songs for kids to listen to. If you don't like it, turn the television off, go outside, and spend some time with your kids. Raise your own children and stop critizing other children.

Do you think that the media made a big scene over nothing?

I agree with you entirely on this issue Cisco. I'd never heard of the kid, and couldn't give a damn' about her "famous" rellies but a nine year old should be left to be a nine year old.

If the press want to go witch-hunting, how about the child beauty pageants with five to seven year olds in lipstick, make-up, false eyelashes and the rest?

Regards,

TOF

thank you for the comment TOF. You're right. People are quick to judge famous kids but its the ordinary kids that should be watched as well.

They should leave the kids alone but that is what sells their copy. Unfortunately. It should be banned.

Yes Queen i agree. Like they used to say "sex sells" now it's "trash sells." It sends out a wrong message to all the kids out there who use celebs as role models.

Agree, especially with the last paragraph. Although, I will say, the skirt is a little higher for that age (for me), I do agree that they probably did make a bigger deal than it should have, especially since she is related to two famous people.

The wonderful world of celebrity!

It is high, i agree myself but she is a child and i've seen many girls dress like that and get little attention. I'm sure glad i'm not famous..

TheSablirab 6 years ago

I'm sure glad I'm not famous, too! And this is coming from someone who would love to make movies. But alas, one needs a camera, script and actors; I have none of those.

You can hire a camera, cast your friends and write your own script. Nothing is impossible!

TheSablirab 6 years ago

That is true, nothing is impossible. I have a digital camera, and by digital, I mean the ones everyone has, of course. Which sucks in terms of quality, but I still can. All I'd need is some editing software, stuff, and I'm on a go. The downside is that I have such a crappy computer that I'm afraid that it's going to be even slower, in terms of response, then it is now.
