OMG Funny Photos

OMG Funny Photos

Did you ever view a photo or illustration that made you say ‘OMG, that’s really funny!’ And you laughed either out loud, or silently to yourself?

It happened to me several times this week so I’m going to share a few of these special funny OMG moments with you.

Westminster Bridge
Westminster Bridge

Take a look at this photo to the right. Am I the only one who sees a unique, special pattern … illustrated by the shadow of the bridge balustrade … when it is a sunny day? Who was the artistic and imaginative architect who created it? Did it represent a special statement he or she wished to make?

If you would like to see it yourself in person, walk across the Westminster Bridge in London on a sunny afternoon.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

What do you think that adorable little boy is saying to the kangaroos locked in an amorous embrace? From the quizzical look on the face of the male kangaroo, perhaps the child is offering a portion of his McDonald’s lunch and asking, “You want fries with that?”

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Awwwwwww! You may have seen this popular photo before of two cute puppies trying to push a small child up from the ground to a standing position. See the third puppy standing behind them watching but doing absolutely nothing? That’s the supervisor. He works for the government!

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Property of WalMart
Property of WalMart

Grilling meat for dinner I’m glad to report,

Has now become my favorite sport.

But there were no grills at my WalMart,

So I borrowed a WalMart shopping cart.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Now this one you may want to study very carefully. It illustrates perfectly the concept: 'If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.'

Go ahead,

look closely.

I’ll wait.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Though I drive a lot on local streets and roads,

I never saw auto-driving frogs or toads.

But they must exist driving cars so fine,

Because here is their unique parking sign.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Actual traffic jam in Cairo, Egypt
Actual traffic jam in Cairo, Egypt

I know I complain a lot about traffic in south Florida, regardless of the car-driving frogs and toads.

But I’ll be honest with you. As bad as the traffic is, it is nowhere as bad as this. Trust me.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

I can say it all in just six words:

Necessity is the mother of invention.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

I don't know how it happened. There I was just playing outside by myself, and he must have followed me home. Can I keep him, huh, can I keep him, puleeze!

These are all great, I was laughing through them all. The bridge must have been designed by a real pervert. Although they do have a different sense of humor in England. I really like the last one. Looks like the kitten is going to attack at any time.

Your Hub was just what I needed today! Great photos. I liked them all, but my favorite was the little boy who approached the kangaroo.

I had to vote this UP and share! Mary

Oh, how I love this! I almost exploded reading your comments about the first photo. I thought they were cactus's (cacti?) Then I took a second look, stared for a few seconds and burst out laughing. Or at least this is my interpretation.(dirty minds:) Thank you! Up and more.

Hi, Becky. Delighted that these all made you laugh. Me, too. When I first saw that Westminster Bridge photo I thought my eyes were deceiving me. Nope, it is the real thing!

As for the kitten holding the puppy, the maternal instinct has definitely kicked in. Thanks for stopping by.

Someone very intelligent, no doubt, Pamela (like you and me) first noticed that fascinating bridge pattern and photographed it. Hmmmmm - could it have been the architect?

Thank you for loving my funny pictures and my unique sense of humor. You are spot on. Life can often be difficult so I believe that humor and laughter help us to survive.

drbj profile image

Nice to meet you, josh3418 - particularly since you found these photos hilarious, awesome, cute and funny. Hope you didn't hurt yourself when you 'cracked up.'

Thanks for reminding me of those dangerous driving frogs and toads. It's easy to spot them though. On the expressway when the speed limit is 65 mph, the frogs are going 90 mph and the toads, 40 mph. :)

drbj, thank you. I loved the lot. I have used the Westminster Bridge one myself. It's a strange country we live in.

I heard your great laugh (out loud) at the Westminster Bridge photo, christopher, all the way here across the pond. That Wordsworth was a pretty clever fellow. Good poet, too.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Somehow, Niteriter, I had already perceived your deep spiritual connection with the fox in the photo. Must have been something you wrote. But the nightmare scenario where you play the role of hunter as well as hunted was new to me. Have you tried a cup of hot tea at bedtime? With a Scotch chaser? Cheers! to you, too.

lorlie6 profile image

Well done, drbj, though I simply can NOT see what you see so hilarious about the first photo-why, those are obviously wrenches.

Now as to the Wal-Mart theft, I am ashamed of you. But I do hope the steaks were good.

So there. ;)

Multumesc, draga mea, te-am pierdut.

drbj profile image

Thank you, Twilight Lawns, for loving the lot. I wouldn't say your country is strange, but you do have some very imaginative bridge balustrade builders.

I don't know if your countrymen are 'uniform' but one is particularly unique - your hunkable export, Daniel Craig. Speaking of his looks and talent, that is.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Thanks for visiting, John, and finding these 'nice.' The Bridge, of course, is up for interpretation, but I would not mess with the kangaroos at any time. They can pack a powerful punch I'm told.

As for those hunting dogs, they need to go back and take the second lesson. :)

drbj profile image

Hi, Amy. Yes, m'dear, clever Frog saw his sign. And how clever of you to recognize that humorists have great intellect. And we (I include you, m'luv) are humble, too. heh, heh

I have always believed that he or she who laughs ... lasts! So it is no accident that I believe in the power of humor and laughter and try to find the funny side whenever possible.

Thanks for finding the photos funny, and even more, for ascribing my interpretation to their personal appeal.

drbj profile image

You saw wrenches in the first photo, Laurel? Well, I can see your point if you think of them as 'wrenches' for use with 'wenches.' :)

And I did not purloin the WalMart cart. I 'borrowed' it. And I shall return it ... some day. The steaks were good, since you asked. I did not purloin them. Thanks for the visit and the repartee.

MartieCoetser profile image

This is indeed the cutest photos. Ya, and what shall we say about #1 - I bet the designer NEVER consider the consequences of his piece of art. (Oh my, supposed they were all resting their cases - just figure! Instigating dangerous depression for every Tom, Dick and Harry to handle.)

I saw and experienced Cairo's catastrophic traffic in person. NO rules on the roads. Everyone for himself and the debil for all. Very low crime rate due to merciless laws, but high death-rate on the roads uncontrollable? A mind-blowing enigma!

Voted up and extremely funny :) Drbj, you are the best :)

Dolores Monet profile image

Dolores Monet 4 years ago from East Coast, United States

Hi, drbj - thank you so much for the great laughs! I can not believe that whoever designed the Westminster Bridge didn't know the pattern that would show up. But my favorite was the fox in with the hounds. No, it was the traffic jam in Cairo. Oh, alright, I loved them all.

Alastar Packer profile image

Pardon me drbj but what's so funny about the erect-looking Westminster Bridge configurations? They look familiar, but just can't seem to wrap my sweaty little hands around what it is. Anyway, the rest were funny enough to vote up with pleasure!

drbj profile image

So you saw something fishy about that first photo, Kelly. Do I think that image was created on purpose? I have to take the Fifth. Don't want to incriminate myself.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Loved your comments about the Westminster bridge design, Martie. That ingenious graphic could instill severe depression in many of the male persuasion.

So you, too, had the dubious pleasure of being involved in Cairo's disastrous traffic? I think drivers there are taught to ignore the auto's brakes and just rely on the horn.

Thank you, m'luv, for the sublime comments, the Up vote and the 'extremely funny.' Music to my ears.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Hi, Dolores, you are so welcome for the great laughs. My pleasure, y'know. Like you, it's hard for me to believe that the bridge designer was not aware of what he had wrought. Bet the city government was surprised though. Maybe 'surprised' is too polite a word!

Thanks for loving the fox, the traffic jam and all the rest, too. No need to make a choice.

drbj profile image

Dear Alastar - Although you said you could not seem to wrap your sweaty lil hands around the Westminster Bridge patterns, you were spot-on in describing them as 'erect-looking.' Thanks for voting the rest 'funny and Up with pleasure.'

Drbj, The WalMart barbecue grill is hysterical. That is some smart person thinking outside the box for sure. We've used a wire shelf from a fridge when we went camping but here someone really used their imagination! I laughed out loud at all of these photos. Very very funny.

akirchner profile image

Thanks for the giggles, BJ as usual - gotta love the kangaroos...and what's in YOUR pocket...er wallet? My son would have done something similar no doubt~ I remember taking him to the zoo in Detroit and the bears were having an intimate moment and people were RUNNING to see what was going on. Jon was hysterical - I think he was maybe 2 or 3---he wanted the bigger bear to stop "poking" the smaller bear...and the little baby bear to stop crying....good lord - birds and bees 101 whether we were ready or not~

That's my kinda kitten too...I once untied a horse and brought it home....to our duplex no less...said it followed me home, could I keep him? I was 7--okay - I was 37~

And you used your imagination, too, m'dear, when you borrowed the wire shelf from your fridge for a camping expedition. Do hope you didn't neglect to return it.

Thanks for laughing out loud at all of these very, very funny photos.

This is an excellent collection of wonderful funny photos with some excellent commentary as well.....I like them all but I would give my Bronze medal to the cat holding the puppy photo....the Silver medal to grilling on the grocery cart(I actually have seen a version of this in real life when I worked at a grocery store) and my Gold medal to the puppies pushing the toddler....great photo. Voted up and awesome....loved this hub.

Hi, Haley, how nice to meet you. Delighted you enjoyed the kitten photo and comment - it's one of my faves. Together with the bridge photo, that is. Thanks for the visit and the kind words.

Thank you, Cogerson, for loving this hub and awarding all those significant medals to the funny photos. What a coincidence that you actually once saw a real life version of the shopping cart-grill. Too funny.

Thank you for the Up and awesome .... so are you!

I think I heard you laugh all the way over here across the pond, Thelma. And the pleasure was mine. Next time you cross the Westminster bridge and the afternoon sun is shining, take another look!

Great hub! These pictures are awesome, and I can't believe that traffic jam in Egypt. They probably had to use helicopters to picks vehicles out of that gridlock. I also stopped by to remind you that I still have an unanswered mystery beer question that's waiting on you drbj. :)

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Nice to see you here, THS. Happy you found these OMG photos awesome. I can attest for that Cairo traffic jam firsthand. No driver uses brakes, only horns. Pretty scary.

With regard to your question #35 on your hub, 'Mystery Beers,' the correct answer is Henry Weinhard is the old-time brewer of that root beer with old-time sayings on the bottle caps like 'Flip My Lid,' and 'Roll out the Barrel. :)

Hi, answers-questions. Welcome to my world. I am particularly fond of your profile name since I often maintain that at my age (older than soil) I already know all the questions. But I'm still looking for all the answers.

Happy to have you aboard, Atyq. Regards backatcha.

Not surprised, Chris, traffic on the Palmetto is almost as bad ... but I promised the Miami Chamber of Commerce I would keep that to myself!

It took me a while to get the first one but when I did I couldn't help but gasp. OMG, everything about the shapes from the tip to the base define sit well. The cutie cat and pup is my fave though.

I think I heard your OMG gasp, clever Cardisa, from here. The first photo is one of my favorite 'naughty' photos ... so far. And I share your adoration of the kitty and the puppy - cuteness personified. Thanks for stopping by, m'dear.

This is my second trip around. Laughed even harder. One of my fav's is "If you can't beat 'em, join'em" - followed by the very last one which is just too precious. Laughter is indeed the best medicine - especially when it comes from you!

Return visits are the nicest compliment of all, Audrey. Thank you for stopping by again and laughing even harder. The foxy photo is one of my favorites, too. And the kitty with the pup is cuteness to the nth degree. You are much appreciated , m'dear. Now don't forget to stop by the 2nd edition: "OMG More Funny Photos."

On the third photo with the supervisor dog. Reminds me of a co worker who's reason for wanting to get to a higher job was, he said, the higher up you get in the government, the less work you have to do. sharing

The funniest one was the wall mart cart used to grill. In fact I likes most of photos, they looked funny.

iguidenetwork profile image

I'd say it's an aphrodisiac bridge? LOL

I also like the grill picture (very clever idea!) and your limerick about it.

Up and funny. :)

drbj profile image

drbj 3 years ago from south Florida Author

That supervisor puppy, Don, is one of my favorites, too. And that co-worker was on the mark. The higher you get in government, it seems the less work you have to do. Do you think we will ever get back to a Congress that actually works for a living? Thanks for the sharing efforts, my friend.

Hi, Sid. Your comment regarding the kangaroos gave me my fun lift for the day. Thanks for the Up and funny, and please do check out more of my stuff. Caution: Do not burst out laughing unless your healthcare premiums have been paid in full.

drbj profile image

Nice to meet you, Lois. Happy you loved the fox photo and the others, too. Did they know what they were doing when they built that bridge balustrade? Not certain but it's fun to imagine that the architect played a joke on all involved with construction.

drbj profile image

drbj 3 years ago from south Florida Author

Hi, Wayne - fun to see you here. Yes, that little boy was touching and so were the 'roos. :) Thanks for the visit and the laughing.

Nice to meet you, sweetie. So you liked the WalMart cart/grill joke best? That's funny. Walmart didn't like it at all! Just kidding, my dear! Thanks for finding the photos funny.

drbj profile image

drbj 3 years ago from south Florida Author

Hi, iguidenetwork. You are absolutely correct. It IS an aphrodisiac bridge. I just didn't know how to spell it til I saw your comment. :) Thanks for liking the grill photo, too, accompanied by limerick. And for the Up and funny.

That's an interesting avatar name you employ.

drbj,

OMG this is too funny! Want to know what else is funny? After I read part 2 and came looking for part1... I opened the page and distraction after distraction kept preventing me from actually reading it. After I'd respond to an email or notification, I'd bounce back to this tab and attempt to read it again. Well, my 12 year old son came into the den to ask me a question and as I'm looking up at him, he starts to giggle. I'm thinking... what the heck is he giggling about? Next thing I know, as if in slow motion... he raises his finger, extends it and begins heading for the computer.... he pointed out the lovely shadows on the bridge and I attempted to play it off, you know a mother in denial; he shouldn't recognize those shadows, right? (Despite the fact that he's been walking around for 12 years carrying a similar shadow with him :-) ... I attempt to deter the conversation and he says ... 'ha ha why do those shadows look like that?' I said... 'I don't know, now go to bed' Ha ha ha... I hadn't even caught it until he pointed it out :D How funny is that? You not only gave me a laugh... but my son too!

Really funny stuff!

Cat

drbj profile image

drbj 3 years ago from south Florida Author

Good to know, Cat, that your sense of humor may be as offbeat as mine. But I dunno - not recognizing those anatomical-shadow-versions of the bridge balustrade before your 12-year old son is a bit foreboding. You do know that the birds and the bees is just a fairy tale. Right? Right?

Ah, well, all's well in the end since you found this as I did - really funny.

drbj profile image

Thanks, Pam and Adam, for finding this. The laugh is on me. This hub was even funnier when the first photo at the beginning of the Westminster Bridge in London was still included. The architecture of the bridge railing was very suggestive when it cast its shadow. Guess it was TOO suggestive.
