Our Young Americans Sing

Hand Painted on feathers ! !
Hand Painted on feathers ! !
   Weep no more my Love...
Weep no more my Love...
  Pray for our Troops...
Pray for our Troops...
  Ain't she sweet....
Ain't she sweet....
   God Bless America
God Bless America
   Land that I Love...
Land that I Love...
   Stand beside her...
Stand beside her...
   And guide her...
And guide her...
Through the night with the light from above...
Through the night with the light from above...
Yes and they do grow up...
Yes and they do grow up...

I Love children and this caught my attention and I just have to share it...This was at a Basketball game of Feb 9th, and these five young girls (ages 6-8) Sang the National Anthem..the two young girls on the right are six years old. The two in the center are seven and the one on the left is eight.

I don't think I have ever heard it sung better and the entire arena was silent throughout the performance..you could've heard a pin drop...they say...So if you will take a moment please listen to them sing...G-Ma :O) Hugs & Peace

Wow for kids their age to blend like that, they're pretty good! You need good ears to blend well. Thanks for sharing this G-Ma. Kids never fail to bring me to a good feeling place. Hugs:)

G-Ma!

Chills!  my first reaction.  Then tears.  If I didn't see them I would have thought these were adults singing.  Beautiful, heartwarming, and a perfect hub so close to the innauguration.

Bless you for sharing this :)

trish...Thanks sweetie and you know you are right...I really hadn't thought about the innauguration when I wrote this-- just the children singing got to me..but is timely...and fitting as we all need to muster up our strength and fight for 'the right to be free'... G-Ma :o) Hugs & Peace

Wow, those young girls must have some fantastic music director. Absolutely beautiful voices and harmony.

In these times when so much seems to be going to hell in that proverbial handbasket, your Hub is both comforting and optimistic. And its timing is perfect, as Trish said, with the innaguration coming up. The images and video are all things to be hopeful about.

You got me, too, with the photo of the grown up girl. So, you gave me chills, made me smile, even laugh, and gave me a tunnel with light at the end to look in to. Thumbs up, G-Ma!
