Paranormal Activity Haunted Me...

Updated on February 18, 2010

My brother who’s like going to the movie house every week got home one evening oddly funny. Morning came, he was complaining he hasn’t able to sleep at all. Curious of the reason, I asked why…

“Dare you to watch Paranormal Activity, then you’ll know well why…” he replied.

I just raised my one brow and thought, not another scary movie would cause me insomnia.

Few days have passed until my sister returned home from the review school. She pulled me to the living room that night, hitting DVD time. I thought it was Jennifer’s Body as I saw a trailer. Then after seeing the Paramount Pictures logo, the title flashed, “Paranormal Activity.”

OK I take the dare. I told myself.

Watching the Movie

At first I thought it was boring because the movie is presented in a documentary style. But as I watch scene after scene, I find myself focused more and more. And it gets scarier as the film rolls on…I nearly gave up because it was so terrifying! I would jump off my seat when the clock hits to 3 am…Man, it isn’t about a ghost story, it’s about a demon spirit…And it scared the hell out of me!

After Watching the Movie

Night one...

After watching the movie, I couldn’t go anywhere in the house without someone accompanying me. LOL

After watching the movie, I would wake up and have disturbed sleep…I couldn’t even look at my cellphone, afraid to see it’s 3 am…I couldn’t even pee, afraid to go to the bathroom…couldn’t even open my eyes though I know I’m awake…couldn’t even adjust the temperature though I’m freezing…LOL

Night two…

I have to get over it… :) It won’t haunt me anymore. However to some, they would still have night two or three or more. That to me is already paranoia. LOL

About the Movie

Micah and Katie are engaged young couple who moved in to their two-storey tract house in suburban San Diego, California where they become increasingly haunted by a supernatural presence. Katie claims that a ghostly entity has haunted her since her youth and believes that it has followed her wherever she goes. Micah buys a video camera in the hopes of capturing paranormal activity on film.

What is Paranormal?

To paraphrase Shakespeare, there are more things in heaven and earth than we can possibly account for. Those that we can identify, understand and categorize into tidy groupings fall under the realm of the "normal". Those occurrences that modern science is unable to account for and explain in terms of the natural world are relegated to the realm of "paranormal". –paranormal.lovetoknow.com
