If there is a cooler lead singer than Eddie Veddar we'd like to see that person because the guy growls through and oozes class in every single song they belt out or breeze through.
The problem these days is actually getting a Pearl Jam ticket now they're back touring. It seems like they get sold out within minutes. You try and organise your day so you're on line card details ready but something always seems to crop or you're too late and i suppose we will have to make do with our albums, videos and of course our Pearl Jam desktop wallpapers all free courtesy of you know who.
Feel free to let us know what you think of each of the wallpapers we have provided. We won't lie it is always nice to get a little bit of feedback no matter if it is positive or negative or indeed if there are any other bands you would like us to do in future then feel free to post here and let us know.
We're certain Pearl Jam fans around the world appreciate the fact we've taken a little time to give them something for nothing so if you know any or you wish you use these wallpapers in another way then don't even bother asking you do it and spread the word great rock music deserves.
Pearl Jam Facts
- The song Alive wasn't written as the life affirming anthem fans see it as. It was actually a tale of incest and part of a trilogy of a murder and subsequent regret of a man on death row
- The song Jeremy was a song about Texan teen Jeremy Wade Delle who shot himself in front of his classmates
- Pearl Jam came about by chance. Ament and Gossard passed who had played in Green River and Mother Love Bone started a new group when a band member died. They passed their demo to Jack Irons of the Red Hot Chili Peppers who declined to drum but passed that tape on to his San Diego friend Eddie Veddar.
Upon hearing it he immediately sent the vocals to 'Alive' 'Once' and 'Footsteps' and Pearl Jam was born
- Though many point to Kurt Cobain being critical of Pearl Jam for as he called being 'sell out's' it is less known he and Veddar made up just before his death and you can see video footage of them dancing in each others arms to Eric Claptons Tears In Heaven
- Pearl Jam's most popular mainstream hit was Last Kiss and it was a cover of a song by Frank J Wilson and the Cavaliers
- Pearl Jam's Vs release broke Guns n Roses record as fastest first selling week and which stood until Gareth Brooks released Double Live
- Pearl Jam refused to play in Ticketmaster venues due to artificially inflated prices
