Person Of Interest -- A Shipper's Wet Dream Come True

Pretty obvious it wasn't real from how out of character everyone was acting...

This is the episode where Shaw finally returns, but apparently some Shoot shippers saw it and are squeeing about it, so it sounds like more shipper-pleasing of the insta fake relationship dreamed up by online shippers, which may end up ruining the episode. If Reese can't have a romance and Finch can't have a romance, why must we be subjected to this shipper garbage between heterosexual Shaw and lesbian Root? Seriously, I thought this show was better than this and wouldn't stoop to this kind of fan pandering in the hopes of getting high ratings from these shippers.

Shaw opens her eyes and finds herself on an operating table. A chip is being placed in her head. She's told soon she'll forget it's there.

Greer and his associate watching her. Doctor worried about planting a chip so close to her brain stem. Greer says it's time to begin phase 2.

A guy named Stuart injects her with something and puts glasses over her eyes. Looks like they're trying to brainwash her. She's asked if she remembers her name and her mission. They want to know where the team would hide The Machine. She's showed a bunch of pictures and she doesn't respond. They show her pictures of Root, Finch and Reese. She finally speaks asking if he's trying to bore her to death. She's told her friends have abandoned her. She vows to make them bleed when she gets out of her straps. The chip didn't take. Greer wants to put her under the knife, again.

Shaw looking at herself in the mirror. She removes a bandage from the back of her neck. She suddenly gets up and breaks a mirror trying to escape. She's drugged, again. As she's being taken to surgery she manages to get the upperhand. This time she manages to escape.

She suddenly finds herself on a beach. She sees a ship and begins swimming towards it.

Samaritan appears to be looking for Shaw. She's in the back of a taxi. Shaw doesn't want to go see the team until she can shake Samaritan and company. She goes into a bathroom of a drugstore. She's trying to remove the chip that's been put in her head.

Her hands are covered in blood when she comes out of the bathroom. She says she's about to kill Bobby Jackson, the guy at the pharmacy. She hopes The Machine will pick up her phone call and send the team, but she also wants to make sure she's covered her bases in case Team Samaritan show up, first. Team Samaritan seems to shows up, first.

Shaw's head starts bothering her and she finds her gun is empty. Root shows up, saving Shaw. Before they can move in for a kiss, Shaw starts convulsing. God, even Carter and Reese didn't getting the romantic crescendo of music and I didn't even feel a romance was built in the years they worked together. GAG! This is so completely phony and over-the-top.

Shaw with Reese and Root. Reese says Samaritan is tracking her. They can't take her to The Machine. They plan to remove the chip from her brain. Root removes the chip. Of course, she does. I'm surprise her head doesn't spin and her eyes don't blink off and on to some romantic overture.

Shaw can hear Finch and Reese say they're not sure they can trust Shaw, but Root is on her side. Of course she is. More of Root coming on to Shaw. ICK! Shaw accuses Finch of not looking for her. He and Reese leave Shaw to Root's tender mercies. Shaw keeps looking at Root strangely. When Root tries coming on to her she rejects her, saying she's not in the right mind set. Which is the last in character thing Shaw will do in this episode dedicated to the shippers wet dreams. Then she goes to Root and they get some loud vocal romantic background music as they get down and dirty. I'm not watching this. Shippers wet dream. Shaw rejecting her was true to character. Not this crap.

Now they're in bed naked. Hope the shippers are enjoying their wet dream come true. They didn't even do this with Reese and Carter and they had more of a build-up than this crap did. I really thought Person of Interest was too good of a show to pander to shippers to this level. It makes me think CBS did the right thing in cancelling it. When a show starts pandering to a bunch of online shippers to this level it's time for that show to stick a fork in it because they're done.

Shaw gets out of bed and looks at herself in the mirror, again. A pack of cigarettes and gun suddenly appear in her hand. Root arrives saying to come back to bed. Root goes to see Reese. Reese says the chip is a placebo. Root says she's behaving strangely. Reese says they have to find out if Shaw has turned. Shaw is listening. Root realizes Shaw bugged her. Shaw picks up a phone and tells Samaritan to come and get her and says she's going to take the fight to Samaritan and end it once and for all.

Shaw wants Root and Reese to join her but they're not that anxious. The men arrive and start chasing Shaw. Reese and Root join her and get rid of the men after her. They break into where Greer is with Samaritan. They take Greer hostage. They end up going to a church.

Finch is there, saying that this is the best place to hide from a God. Greer says he's irrelevant and there's no head of the beast. Shaw ties him to a chair and wants Greer to turn the off-switch on Samaritan. Shaw finds something embedded in Greer's arm. She takes a USB drive out of Greer's arm.

Finch says Arthur Claypool wrote the code and he thinks it's a kill switch. Finch says in his heart he thought Shaw was dead and he gave up on her. He's sorry about that. Everything starts to flicker again then comes back in focus.

Reese offers to watch Greer for her until they hear footsteps overhead. Greer left alone with Shaw. Greer says it's time to call of this charade and she almost has completed her mission. Everything is going like she planned. The USB won't kill Samaritan but it will The Machine. They planted another chip and they let her escape. They broke her months ago. Shaw shoots Greer in the head as he taunts her about murdering all her friends.

Reese returns. Shaw starts worrying that the USB that will show where Finch is. Reese asks how Greer knew they would capture him. Reese says something is wrong with her and they're not going back to The Machine until they talk this through. She shoots Reese in the back as he's walking away. Shaw lies to Finch that Samaritan's people shot Reese.

Shaw heads out in the crowd as Samaritan's men follow her. She meets up with Root. Root says they need to get back to The Machine and Shaw needs to lead the way. Shaw says she can't do this anymore, whose controlling her. She says she's going to kill her, too. More of the Shoot crap of how Root saying she and Shaw belong together. Shaw says she'd go to Root in her mind to be her safe place. Then Shaw shoots herself in the head. Yes, of course, she can't shoot her love muffin Root, but she has no trouble killing Reese who she had a deeper relationship with than Rooty-toot-toot, but not in Shoot Shipper Fantasy Land.

Turns out none of it was real and it was all a simulation that started when they put the glasses on her. Greer says to start the simulation again.

This episode was so wacky world with none of the characters acting the least bit in character. But, at least, the Shoot shippers wet dream finally came true. Sorry, so not buying Root is Shaw's safe place. They didn't even have that deep of a relationship. Shaw have deeper and more frequent deep moments with Reese, Finch, Fusco and Bear. Thank God I made it through this swill and thank God another episode will air, tonight. A real episode with the characters acting in-character not this filler out of character shipper pandering garbage we were all subjected to in the name of hoping for big ratings.
