This album contains 6 tracks. All of the songs are sung by Hoshi Soichiro, who is actually Goku's seiyuu (voice actor).

This is immediately noticeable when you listen to the songs because you'll definitely recognize Goku's voice as the one that's singing and Hoshi as Goku has such a nice singing voice.

The 6 songs from this album are as follows:

  1. Going
  2. I Can Fly

1. Going

This song only appears in this album. This song has a different tone to it.

It's serious but not overly so. It has a bit of a long instrumental before the singing starts.

Hoshi's voice as Goku sounds just wonderful.

The translated lyrics has great meanings and wonderful imagery with words and phrases like 'when you cut off the raging wind, a hidden door opens', 'there's no time to stand still', 'merely left behind in the darkness, I kick up complaints,' and 'tomorrow's destination is further away, the beginning is now'.

This song seems to be speaking of Goku as well as the Sanzo-ikkou's journey to the west. All 4 of them continue heading for their destination no matter how many obstacles stand in their way.

That which couldn't be seen until yesterday is the now that I've grasped

— Going (translated English lyrics)

2. I Can Fly

I Can Fly by Hoshi Soichiro (Goku)

This song, sung by Goku, also appears in Gensomaden Saiyuki Vocal Album Volume 3.

This song has a solemn and serious tone to it.

But it still sounds highly appealing. It has a catchy beat to it.

Goku's voice sounds serious in this song too.

There are words sung in English like 'get up', 'I can flying now' and 'everything is all right'.

Even though I'm lost in the darkness, I want to believe in the burning light in my chest

— I Can Fly (translated English lyrics)

The translated lyrics has much good meaning to it with words and phrases like 'I want to keep reaching out my hand', and 'seizing things like wishes'.

This song seems to speak of Goku who, in spite of his cheerful nature, does have a dark past. He used to be imprisoned in a cave where he was all alone.

He could barely see the light of the sun and could only really see the barren land in front of him. Of course, he wishes for freedom, to be able to fly away from this place.

3. Wing Area

The quiet loneliness is unbearable pain

— Wing Area (translated English lyrics)
Saiyuki, Vol. 2 (Saiyuki, 3)
Saiyuki, Vol. 2 (Saiyuki, 3)
This is volume 2 of the Saiyuki manga (graphic novel) by Kazuya Minekura. The Saiyuki anime is based on this comic. As you can see, the cover features Son Goku with his staff.

This song, sung by Goku, also appears in Saiyuki Reload Vocal Album Volume 1.

This song has a lively beat to it. It starts almost right away and, already, you can hear the swaying fun tune that might even get you to dance.

Goku's voice sounds lively and upbeat as well, totally fitting the song.

The translated lyrics has a lot of good meaning to it with words and phrases like 'no matter which hand I extend, the things I can't reach', 'I can fly far away', and 'how long before I'm free?'.

This song seems to be speaking of Goku and the time when he was stuck imprisoned in a cave, all alone.

Goku hates being alone. He might even hate silence. Certainly, he's always loud and lively. Back in that cave, he always wished for someone to come and free him, to save him. He kept waiting, wanting to fly away and escape from this horrible place.

In the times that I've wanted someone, I know I'm alone

— Wing Area (translated English lyrics)

4. Infinity

Always longing for the sun, I passed time looking up at the sky

— Infinity (translated English lyrics)
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, Vol. 2 [DVD]
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, Vol. 2 [DVD]
The cover of this anime DVD features Son Goku. Don't underestimate him just 'cause he looks like a kid. The truth is he's really strong and powerful. His weapon is known as the Nyoibou (Almighty Staff). He loves to eat and his favorite phrase is actually, "Sanzo, harahetta (I'm hungry)."

This song, sung by Goku, also appears in Gensomaden Saiyuki Vocal Album Volume 1.

This song has a different tone to it, sounding serious and solemn. It has a bit of a slow pace but not that slow.

Goku's voice actually sounds serious and even a little melancholy.

The translated lyrics holds a lot of meaning to it with words and phrases like 'no matter what day, the sun is in the sky'.

This song seems to be speaking of Goku's time stuck imprisoned in that cave yet again.

The mentions of the sun is appropriately apt as Goku is vastly fascinated with the sun and light. In fact, he perceives Sanzo as his sun.

Reality that no one knows, they only know freedom reflected in a mirror

— Infinity (translated English lyrics)

5. Round

Saiyuki manga volume 2 features Goku with his Nyoibou (Almighty Staff)
Saiyuki manga volume 2 features Goku with his Nyoibou (Almighty Staff)

This song only appears in this album. This is one very lively and upbeat song. The tune might even get you swaying and dancing with its fun tone.

Goku's voice fits this song perfectly. The word 'round' is sung in English along with 'going a long way' and 'come'.

The translated lyrics has good meaning to it with words and phrases like 'always smile', 'eating my fill', 'simple feelings', 'I fall down, I stand back up', 'I can go anywhere', and 'let's go through thick and thin'.

This song seems to be speaking about Goku who is a really simple person. He can be very happy with just getting lots and lots of food to eat and being with his friends and traveling together with them.

6. Cherish

Cherish by Hoshi Soichiro (Goku)

This song, sung by Goku, also appears in Saiyuki Reload Vocal Album Volume 2. This song has a lively beat to it with a very nice and catchy tune. Goku's voice really fits this song very well.

The translated lyrics has great meaning with words and phrases like 'I don't understand difficult things very well', 'even if we don't mix together, that's okay', and 'if I'm alive, there's always more to perceive'.

This song seems to be speaking of Goku and his feelings and thought processes. He's happy-go-lucky and simple with his innocence and childish nature. He cares about his three friends even though they're different and he may have his arguments with them.

If I move, is there a reason and a destination?

— Cherish (translated English lyrics)
