How Revival was formed

Revival was named so because that is what the members believe God is doing in their high school, Sárospataki Református Kollégium Gimnáziuma - He is creating a revival to end the Spiritual famine there.

Aiysha Jebali, the song writer of the group and teacher at Refi, approached two students and asked them if they would be interested in converting one of her poems into a song for a USA DAY held at Refi. Those students are Sandy Magyar and Gábor Tirpak and the group just grew from there. They are also part of the school's PR team called The Refi Revolution Team.

They have a unique mix of song, poetry and piano to their music and they recently recorded two of their songs in a music studio in Scotland, UK, called Tilly Youth Project.

Lyrics to their debut song, 'A Letter to The King'

Chorus:
This is a letter to the King
That I promise to sing
As your Grace and Mercy doth ring!

You accept my offering
Take upon my suffering
So, tonight I'll sing, I'll sing
I will sing to my King (2 times for this section of the chorus)

Spoken Word:
Public disgrace
just to replace
this face
in the face
of Him who has the highest place.
I lead a rebellion
Against The Great I AM, the Elion
when I lived for my own
and stepped on the seeds in me you had sown.
I'd shamelessly harass,
cut down anyone in my path
but Alas,
in your blood do I bath,
signing out:
Its Barabas.

Chorus

Verse

I remember how you called me,
on that very day.

Come follow me you said,
and I'll show you the way.

You told me to ask, well,
here is what I pray!

Lord give me Faith,
Lord give me Faith,
Lord give me Faith,
Give me Faith that I should see...

I watched heal,
preach with unseen zeal

I saw you raise the dead,
you erased the debt!

Yeheshua (4 times)

So, why can't I believe?!
Have my conscience relieved.

She came to me,
said alive were thee.

No it couldn't be,
your death we did see.

O I'm little of Faith,
hide my disgrace,
that I needed to see
your face.

O I'm little of Faith,
needed to see
your face

O I'm little of Faith,
needed to see (your face)

In sack cloth and ash,
Your disciple Tamás,
Forgive me...

(instrumental)

Chorus

Every one of us here has a little bit of these guys in us. We all go through times when we doubt. We all cut people down with our words or our actions. Everytime we do this, its murder, rebellion and its evil in God's sight.
And every time we ask Yeheshua for forgiveness, aka Jesus Christ: He gives it abundantly. We should never stop praising Him. He did what we couldn't.
Lord, give us Faith and be merciful when we cut into the neighbours that you commanded us to Love. Amen.

Chorus
