On this article, Satanism in Hip Hop, i will provide you how the rapper Eminem allegedly sold his soul to the devil for money and fame.
* note to readers- this information was gathered by youtube videos, and Eminem's own lyrics he wrote. I am not in any way forcing you to believe what is written. In the end, this is for entertainment purposes only. The only thing i ask for you is an open mind.*
* note to readers- I do not believe you can sell your soul to the devil. I am not saying Eminem did sell his soul, he may have written these lyrics as metaphoric meanings. I do not in any way intend for this article to bash or hurt Eminem in any way.*
Throughout Human History, Satanism is connected to almost every genre of music. When Rock n Roll was popular, many people claimed it was "Devil worship music". In the dark ages, the Catholic church denounced instruments to be used in religious music. Their reason was because Pagans used instruments during their worship for the Gods. It is not a surprise that Satanism is linked to Hip-Hop today.
There is a conspiracy that several musicians sold their soul for money and fame. Artists often say it in their lyrics. On this article, we will look very closely at one artist, Eminem.
" If I could go back, I never would've rapped. I sold my soul to the devil, And i'll never get it back." - Eminem on "Say Goodbye to Hollywood"
Like many artist, Eminem write his music on how he feels. The quote above shows that he regrets selling his soul to the devil. Most people do not listen to every word of every song, especially when it comes to rap music. If you listen (or read) closely, you will find many other artists often talk about the devil.
In the Bible, Satan was an angel in God's court of angels. In matter of fact, he was God's favorite Angel. Lucifer (aka satan, the devil) was the angel of music. He played beautiful music on a harp for the Lord. As we all know, Lucifer was sent down to hell, thus becoming the devil. With all of this in mind, if Satan wanted to influence people, wouldn't he use the one thing that he was the best at? Music.
Eminem's "My Darling" is a song where he and the Devil is talking back and forth. Go to youtube and go listen to the song. The lyric pretty much says it all.
*Warning* this is very disturbing lyric. If you are not comfortable reading it, then don't
. "My Darling" - Eminem
The underline part is Satan talking to Eminem. Eminem words will be in bold.
I don't ever want you to leave me,
You and me were meant to be together,
And if I can not have you, no one can you're
'Cause I possess your soul, your mind, your heart, and your body.
Shady, I know you're in there somewhere,
Come here, talk to me, sit here, pull up a chair,
Why don't you cut your hair?
Dye it back, come on try it
Ah no, I told you, leave me the f--- alone, will you?
But I'm here to re-build you
But I already killed you!
But Shady, we were meant for each other
Think about your mother
Yeah, so what of her?
Well, think about what she did to you and your little brother!
All them foster homes!
F-- you, motherf----r!
I had you beat!
No, I was playin' possum
'Member, I let you watch your little girls blossom
I gave you enough time, your soul's mine
I'm taking it back!
You f------ b----! Why?
Because I love you, look a little closer...
Isn't that us on that poster?
Shady, listen (crowd chanting Shady) you hear that?
They're screaming for you,
I can bring you career back!
But I don't want it back
Yes you do!
No I don't!
Yes you do! You're gonna regret it later
No I wont!
I'ma get Dre on the phone, I'll just call the doctor
Go ahead, I already talked to Dre yesterday
Well I got him on the phone right now
How? Why now?
What up Dre?
Check this out, Slim, I gotta talk to you
It just seems like ever since you got off your drugs
You became a lot softer!
But Dre, all Shady is, is a bottle of hair bleach and vodka!
Well, just think about it, Slim, I'm here!
Just hit me back and let me know what's up
F--- this mirror! Ah!
I'm not in the mirror
I'm inside you, let me guide you!
F--- you! Die you son of a b---- !
Put the gun down!
Okay, I'm still alive!
So am I too!
You can't kill a spirit even if you tried too, haha
You sold your soul to me, need I remind you?
You remember that night you prayed to God
You'd give anything to get a record deal
Well, Dre signed you!
This is what you wanted your whole life, Marshall, right whoo?
Look at this house!
Look at these cars!
Oh so nice, whoo!
Oh, but you didn't know fame has a price too?
That you're just now seeing the down side to!
Lose your best friend from high school, your wife too!
Ain't even sure if your kids like you
Come off tour, can't even sleep at night without NyQuil
Become a Valium addict, start a rehab cycle
But together we can break the cycle
No one's gonna love you like I do!
"My Darling" clearly shows what's going on in Eminem's head.
Eminem's new album, The Recovery, Is said to be about Eminem's battle with drugs. That Eminem is done for good with drugs. This is not the case. His new album is about how he stopped following the devil and how he is trying to live his life with God. He has Christian lyrics all throughout the album.
I know they are many, many more lyrics, but i cannot show them all or this page will take days reading. Thank you for reading and i hope you enjoy.
