The official OST album released for John Lee Hancock's Saving Mr. Banks contains thirty-one (31) songs. Most of these are compositions by Thomas Newman, the American composer and conductor tapped to write the score for the film. The other tracks in the album were performed by Colin Farrell, Ray Charles, Jason Schwartzman, Emma Thompson, B.J. Novak, Melanie Paxson, Bradley Whitford and The Dave Brubeck Quartet. The names mentioned are all members of the movie's cast.

The Deluxe version of the album comes with two discs with the second disc containing additional nine (9) tracks. These additional tracks feature the following artists: Julie Andrews, Richard M. Sherman, Matthew Garber, David Tomlinson, Robert B. Sherman, Dick Van Dyke, The Londoners and Karen Dotrice. That said, if you avail of the Deluxe version, you get a total of forty (40) songs. Both discs have a total running time of 1 hour, 8 minutes and 78 seconds.

The soundtrack comes in two versions: the regular version and the Deluxe version. As was mentioned above, the latter has nine additional tunes on top of the thirty-one tunes in the regular edition. The album will be released through the Walt Disney label on December 10, 2013.

The film itself will hit theaters in the United States on December 13. United Kingdom release is scheduled for November 29.

That would be something if David Tomlinson was still alive, and he actually decided to come out of retirement one time for this Movie. It's ashamed that lady didn't want Dick Van Dyke in this film. He would really be perfect. Julie Andrews as well. Maybe also any still alive actor from Mary Poppins should have stared in this film also.
