Shahrukh Khan -- His Famous Ever lines in an Interview
- Michelene-Philippe Heine -- An Interview
Michelene-Philippe Heine is an accomplished actress with a lot of style and engaging charm. Impressive in dramatic roles, she also has considerable musical ability with a hauntingly sweet voice.
One of the most influential persons in the world and Bollywood per se, is SRK or Shahrukh Khan. Born on November the 2nd, 1965, King Khan was predestined to be a big superstar. How did he make it? Was his journey, just pretty much pure luck? We know by now that his determination and strong will to succeed, made him shine above everything. Known also as Baadshah of Bollywood , King Khan was cool with us and our own inquiries.
Aside from knowing perfectly of his capabilities of being an excellent actor, we wanted to find the feelings behind the words. Convinced that there was more than just acting and drama behind an incredible actor, we decided to venture ourselves in another land and another dimension. Putting aside our limitations and language barriers, we embarked ourselves on a thorough research on King Khan; for the last few days we went... and did our own manhunt celebrity . We believed, and we knew were right; deep in our hearts, there were things that happened to us for a reason. Events that took hold of our spirit made us stronger and nonetheless different; changing our ways and our own moods.
We wanted to go behind the scenes, lets say, we were able to see him receiving an award (Filmfare award 2011) for the movie 'My name is Khan.' His speech was emotional because he has been through a lot. Losing a dad to Cancer at 15, and then witnessing her mom's departure in 1991, that certainly made a big impact on him and his now famous characters. After big losses, like his own, we tend to get stronger and ready to fight for our own convicitions in life. He promised his parents to be a star like no one, in order to reach that profound spirituality; he would finally be be among his parents and the Glory of the name gvien to him at birth.
His break through movie: Dil Aashna Hai
August 15, 2009
On that date, Shahrukh Khan made Customs and Immigration entry at Newark Airport in New Jersey, that was renamed "Liberty International Airport" after September 11. He was heading to Chicago Illinois for the Indian Independence Parade. While he was getting his luggage and passing the last check point control, he is told to go to a waiting screening room. The waiting of 2 hours made him feel annoyed. Immigration officers not knowing who they were dealing with, just drop the question, "What is the reason of your visit Mr. Shahrukh Khan?"
Some Central americans and minorities didn't even know who he was. But Khan kept his coolness, his agent had already contacted the Indian Embassy in New York. We ourselves happened to be there for over 45 minutes. Like Khan said, "His Muslim name had always raised the alarm due to this Islamophobia. What we really saw was just excesive profiling mixed with regulations. This time Shahrukh Khan was let go after the agents realized that they were dealing with KSR.

So What makes you tick Shahrukh Khan?
We decided to make an informal interview and drove Shahrukh Khan out of that day's mess and took him fictitiously to our imaginary conference room. We ended up on this sort of 'cloud nine.' He did accept our challenge to bring out the man behind the star. Physically he was on his way to Chicago, but mentally he was already having this informal 'mano a mano' chat with us.
Lord: What was your saddest moment in your life?
Shahrukh Khan: You got me on this one... So many to think of. I guess being a pale bearer on my dad's funeral, back in 81. I should admit that after my mother (Lateef Fatima Khan) departed in 1991, I became certain that nothing was forever.
Lord: We apologize for what they did to you at the terminal, even on last April 13, 2012...at our JFK International Airport.
Shahrukh Khan : You don't need to apologize. I'm a people's man, and love to be one among them. I've seen so many times blinded justice not properly done. Mother was a Magistrate and she taught me to be responsible for my own deeds. I'm so proud of her, graduating from Oxford. On another fun side of myself, I used to mock people when I was a kid and now, I'm getting paid for it.
Lord: Do you believe in backgrounds and genes? What can you tell us about it? Sorry if we are touching some nerves with no bad intentions or harm.
I understand dear friend. Let's see. my parents were hard workers and I have inherited their spirit. My wife and I love our kids and it shows. My family is above all. I do not take life for granted. For instance, last April 15th, 2011, I went to see my mom in Ajmer, to offer chaddar at the dargah on her 20th death anniversary. I saw those young mothers and their kids, and I said to myself : I would give up fame and riches, just to have her back... Sometimes, in my own solitude I cry for her early departure. I'm taking care of older sister Shenaz, who I fondly call Lala Rukh. She has been affected deeply by our loss. Wife Gauri has been an important supporter to our lives. My kids, Aryan and Suhana are the best thing that ever happened to me.
Lord: We read about how your parents met and that was really impressive!
Yeah they met at the hospital. My mother needed a transfusion donor, after a car accident, and dad saved her life, and for that strong reason I'm here talking to you my friend. Diabetes took her life, but not her love for us. Her family consented their marriage, even though he was eleven years older.
Lord: I see you are a Cancer advocate, and do donations 'silently' and sometimes anonymously. Is there a reason to be... or keep things on a low profile?
I certainly use this fame for good causes. We founded the Department for Children with cancer in the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai and that fills our hearts of joy, and we feel accomplished.
Lord : We know that you were able to pay the medical costs for two orphans from Jammu and Kashmir which had strong burnings... and that tell us a lot about you.
Shahrukh Khan: You did an impressive research my friend Lord.
Lord: We have known you better, and we have learned from you Sir! Thanks for your time and your sincerity. By the way we are Scorpio as well.
Shahrukh Khan: My pleasure! Oh! No wonder we understand women!
