Zanaworld, though heroines from South has been very popular in Bollywood like Hema, Sridevi, vajantimala to name a few but even the biggest male stars were not able to make much of name in bollywood, Rajani and Kamala were not mega hits, just gave very few hit movies and that too onlymoderate. Any thoughts on it?

@MSDora: Thanks for your compliments. I am big fan of movies - Indian movies. I closely follow the stars of Indian film industries.

@IndianChef: Your observation is very true. Rajni & Kamal has not given consistent mega hits. Kamal's "ek duje ke liye" was mega hit. Bearing this, his subsequent did not fare well his movies do in Tamil. It is same with Rajni. His recent "Robet" was success in Hindi, but its Tamil original was bigger - rather biggest hit.

I fail to understand why male stars don't make it big pan-India.

Great hub. I think it's difficult for the male stars to balance the regional movies with Hindi movies as they cannot leave their huge regional fan base. May be female stars doesn't need to face that.
