The Store Some Dream About

We visited Portland, Oregon this past week for a conference. On Friday, we visited the Clackamas Town Center Mall for some shopping and stumbled on STARWARSTORE.COM. Star Wars fans rejoice! There is a store in Portland, Oregon full of the latest and greatest Star War gadgets, legos, models, watches, apparel and figurines. Entering the store, you can't miss the large encased model of the Millennium Falcon Starship. It is decorated with minute detail and even sports some battle wounds from interspace encounters. Hanging from the ceiling of this colorful store are many models and renditions of the characters and stars of this famous movie series. Princess Leia stands gallantly behind the checkout counter guarding it from enemy attack. Legos are a subtitle to the store. Lego pennants are draped across the front of the store. Box after box of lego models are stacked on shelves, there for the picking. I never knew that Star Wars legos even existed. Tiny Star War figurines decorate enclosed lighted glass cases for easy viewing. A Darth Vader helmets sit high on the shelf while another hangs from the ceiling like an evil presence, keeping you on your toes. Light sabers are stacked on low shelves for the kids to inspect and hopefully purchase. What kid wouldn't want a full size light saber to fight with?

Location In The Mall

I understand that starwarsstore.com sells GI Joe items and other lines of interest. I was intent and focused on the Star Wars items and may have missed some of the other items for sale. Most of the store was dedicated to Star Wars and legos. Star Wars fans could spend hours in this shop, located midway down the mall, across from Macys. The elevator is nearby for those approaching from the second floor of the mall. If you are in the area, this is a fun place to browse! This might be classified as one of the seven wonders of the Portland area - very unusual!

That's pretty cool. I'd never heard of it before. I'm not a fanatic, but did enjoy the series of movies. Thank you for sharing. :)
