The Beatles - a trivia quiz

As a teen my tastes in music were pretty retro, and one of first favorite artists was the Beatles. And though my enthusiasm for this band wasn't shared by many of my friends at the time I do have something now some of them only wish they had: a really nice collection of Beatles albums on real vinyl, some even first editions. And though my favorite musical artists have changed somewhat over the years I still do love the Beatles. You can't go wrong with the best, you know?

Anyway, I decided it was high time to create a trivia quiz all about the Beatles and am posting it today. If you want to play along the rules are simple: get out paper and pen or pencil. Number your paper 1-27 then proceed to the questions part on this page. Choose your answer from among the possible four provided for each question and mark it down on your paper. The first 25 questions are the primary questions; the last 2 are bonus questions. The answers are found following the questions part and here you can tally up your correct answers and see how well you did. To score yourself: each correct answer to the primary 25 questions is worth 10 points; correct answers for bonus questions are worth 50 points a piece.

Have fun and good luck!

Hi Beth! Great quiz! The Beatles were an awesome band with some of the greatest music. It is still hard to believe that the surviving members are in or approaching their 70's.

Voted up!

Twenty out of twenty-five Beth! Read a lot of books on them lol. And i had that Yesterday and Today- with them around the trunk- cover at one time as a kid. Did the Beatles ever record a bad song? If they did i've never heard it. Great Beatles trivia hub Beth- much fun it was!

Alastar, awesome on your score. Do you think there's a chance you can find the album? That would be an awesome thing to leave to your children.

As to your speculation - well, I'm not much of a fan of "I'm So Tired" or "You Know My Name Look Up the Number"; always thought they were pretty lame. Then again, even Mozart didn't pull off a masterpiece every time, lol!

Thanks for taking the quiz :)

A wonderful hub Beth.....it brought back a lot of great memories. I was a little disappointed that I could only manage 18 out of 25 but then I realized that the Beatles era began nearly 52 years ago so I don't blame my memory so much. Voted this hub up! and really enjoyed the walk down memory lane. Thanks.

They are only my favorite band, so this was loads of fun. Thanks for testing me to the limit. :) I saw them live in Seattle in 1965...the price of a ticket...$12. Funny the things you remember.

Great quiz. Scored 21/25 + both bonus. Saw the Beatles in 65 in Houston, so I remember it all. It's hard to get info on record sales, especially vinyl only. Own that butcher block album. Bought it with the second cover pasted on over it in 1966.
