The Best 2 Person Rock Bands
Who says you can't have a rockin' band with only two people? Here's a list of some of my favorite rock bands with only two members.
The White Stripes - Icky Thump
The White Stripes
The White Stripes is a two person band consisting of singer and guitarist Jack White and drummer Meg White. The two met in Detroit and got married. Later, Meg learned the play drums and they started a garage rock bluesy band together. They became popular in the early 2000’s with the whole garage rock scene. Unfortunately they announced last year that they will not be making any more albums.

The Black Keys - Tighten Up
The Black Keys
The Black Keys are a blues duo from Akron, Ohio with singer and guitar player Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney playing drums. With The White Stripes no longer making music together, The Black Keys can easily fill that space. Their blues music sounds like something you'd hear from the 60's or 70's. I can't get enough of this band.

Tenacious D - Tribute
Tenacious D
Tenacious D is a band with actor Jack Black on lead vocals and guitar and Kyle Glass on vocals and guitar. They may not be as rockin' as the other bands on the list. But, they're fun to listen to. Plus, they wrote the greatest and best song in the world... tribute.

Local H
Local H started as a trio in 1987 but after the Matthew Garcia, the bass player, left the band they continued as a duo. They are probably one of the most underrated bands of the 90's with only 1 hit song "Bound for the Floor." They guys played some good alternative rock music in the 90's.

The Kills
The Kills is a band formed in American and the United Kingdom. They actually met in a hotel and eventually started a songwriting partnership by air mailing tapes to each other from the states to the UK. Musically, their style is a mix between garage rock and indie rock. Although they kind of have a bluesy sound, they're a little more melow than The White Stripes or The Black Keys.
