"I've been in prison for three years. My dick gets hard if the wind blows." - Reggie Hammond, 48 Hours (1982)

Paramount Pictures, Rated R, 96 minutes.

Directed By: Walter Hill

Cast:

Eddie Murphy - Reggie Hammond

Nick Nolte - Jack Cates

Annette O'Toole - Elaine

James Remar - Albert Gantz

David Patrick Kelly - Luther

Sonny Landham - Billy Bear

Domestic Box Office Gross: $75,936,265

Synopsis: A hard-ass cop and a temporarily paroled felon are forced to team up and catch a killer within 48 hours.

Fact: Mickey Rourke, Jeff Bridges, Kris Kristofferson and Clint Eastwood all turned down the role of Jack Cates.

Trivia: The word 'fuck' is used 48 times.

Movie Mistake: Gantz fires a six shooter eight times without reloading.

My Take: This was one of the better 'buddy cop' movies to come out of the 80's. For me, it all just came down to Eddie Murphy, this was his first film, and the beginning of some really funny movies.
