Synopsis: A young man tries to escape the trappings of his surroundings, like work and family, by attempting to make it as a disco dancer.

Fact: The soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever became the highest selling album all time until Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' was released a few years later.

Trivia: Movie Critic Gene Siskle's favorite film all time and even once owned the 'White Suit'.

Movie Mistake: Joey is simultaneously in the Night Fever dance line and in a car hooking up with a girl.

My Take: "Well, you can tell by the way I walk I'm a woman's man: no time to talk." What a fun movie, great soundtrack and you couldn't go wrong with John Travolta in those days and come on, let's admit it, those of us alive in those days really dug the disco scene.
