Review

1. THE END OF THE DAY

This is a really trippy song. Seriously, I was so excited to hear this track after seeing the 15 second preview for the music video. It's truly epic! The sound is very much Gackt's style, but the added vocals of Jon really gives it a new sound. This song brings about feelings of both frustration and resolution. Needless to say, this title track was well created.

2. MIND FOREST -YFC Edition-

Ok, so this is pretty much the English version of MIND FOREST. There isn't much difference with the exception of a slight introduction change and the addition of Jon's vocals. It's a really beautiful song with a rock effect. But yeah...not much difference between this one and the original. I can't help but feel that the vocals clash a bit on this one though.

3. THE END OF THE DAY minus G

Listening to this song is a little awkward. Jon was only given co-vocalist parts, and it really shows when you listen to this track without Gackt's voice.

4. THE END OF THE DAY minus J

You can tell that Gackt had a lot of fun with his part in this song. He does the majority of the Japanese parts, not to mention the male soprano pieces. Anyone familiar with Gackt's work can tell you how much effort he puts behind his vocals to add feeling to them. His work with YFC is no different.

5. THE END OF THE DAY minus G & J

Nothing showcases the actual bands talent like instrumentals ~ Really, each of these musicians are incredibly talented! You, Takumi, and Chachamaru blend their guitar pieces together fantastically. It's difficult to tell who is playing what, but they go together so well!

6. MIND FOREST -YFC Edition- minus G

This track is a personal favorite of mine from this entire album. Jon has a gorgeous voice and, even though he was still given a co-vocalist part, he was able to showcase his voice a lot more. I honestly wish he had been able to sing all the parts for this version of the song.

7. MIND FOREST -YFC Edition- minus J

Ah Gackt. Speaking English is certainly not one of your talents, so singing completely in English should have been out...or left to Jon. Gackt did a great job making his part of the vocals sound a lot like they did in the original Japanese MIND FOREST. However, it's really hard to enjoy this Engrish version without Jon.

8. MIND FOREST -YFC Edition- minus G & J

This is another instrumental, and it's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful~
