The History of Noah's Ark

A time emerged when men had become evil, their tainted hearts began to corrupt the earth, however among evil stood a man of righteousness, his name was Noah.

Building The Ark

  1. The length of the ark was three hundred cubits, the breadth was fifty cubits, and the height thirty cubits.
  2. Inside there was to be a window and one door.
  3. The ark was to have three decks and built strong enough to endure a flood set to destroy the earth.

Noah was also instructed to bring into the ark two of each living animal, male and female.

By the time the great flood hit Noah was well up in years, Noah had faced ridicule among evil men while he built the ark, nonetheless, the storm did come. Noah and his family were instructed to enter the ark.

His family members consisted of his wife and his three sons Shem, Ham, Japheth, and their wives.

The storm went on for forty days and forty nights, the windows of heaven opened, and the rain waters increased, floating the ark upon the raging waters.

Noah sent out a dove that eventually returned back to the ark, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had subsided.

God had promised Noah that He would not curse the earth through a flood for the sake of man as long as the earth remains.

In significance to His promise God created a beautiful rainbow, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds and this rainbow shall be a convent between me and the earth.” Genisis 9:13.
