The People At Nokia World 2011
This is just a short post, could have been entitled 'The Good The Bad and The Ugly II' but for the quality of the photographs, not the subjects !! I had an absolutely unbelievable time at the ExCel in London, and saw and met some really great people, I spent considerable time talking to some, had quick chats with others, and some I just listened to. But throughout the event, the atmosphere was friendly and sociable, I got on really well with all my companions (I hope !!) and met some really nice people, nobody was aloof, no one 'blanked' me , and everyone seemed to be enveloped in a positive atmosphere. This post is really just a place for me to post the pictures I took of, or was taken with, the people of Nokia World 2011.
I can't remember everyones names so can't tag them all, and some are group or crowd shots , so it's obviously impossible, anyone I should have mentioned and have not, please let me know, and I can edit or add later (I didn't have the professional forethought of Richard Dorman , @Sheridan01 on Twitter, to carry a notebook and pen !! Basic error of a novice !) But I did enjoy meeting my peers from the Nokia Support Discussions forum, and was slightly awestruck at seeing and talking to some of the Tech Celebrities I follow on the web, on Twitter and various blogs and Tech Sites, who couldn't be awstruck by @tnkgrl or the awsome @whatleydude ??
Anyway, here is a somewhat amateur view from my perspective, and from my cheap compact digital camera, my Nokia E7, a Nokia Lumia 800 loaned by Nokia to me for the event, and a couple from my HTC Desire HD, I think, lost track LOL. By the way, you may notice a couple of shots that are fairly decent, mainly due to the fact that I'm in them and either @Sheridan01 or @Psychomania666 are at the other side of the lens, thanks and credit to them both. I hope the people I sneaked shots of have no objection, and as a couple have retweeted and favourited them on Twitter, I'm feeling fairly safe.
So I hope you enjoy some of them, they're really only great memories for me of a once in a lifetime opportunity, and the joy of being involved in the Community that Nokia has built up arround itself, Nokia is far more than a technology company, and I'm very happy and proud to be involved in it even in a small way, and it has given me much much more than the ability to talk and message people without a wire .
