The Twisted Tale

by: Chuck RitenouR 4-20-2011

Verse 1:

She was sitting on a bench all alone in the dark

Waiting for her lover to meet her in the park.

And soon he did arrive and she looked him in the eyes

and said what would you do to prove your love was true?

Would you swim the deepest sea, would you climb a mountain high

would you run away with me tell all you know good-bye.

Verse 2:

Then he took her in his arms and kissed her on the lips

And said, my love is true and then he told her this

If I knew how to swim, I'd swim the deepest sea

If I were a mountain climber, I'd climb that mountain easily.

And I swear to you, yes I swear it on my life

If I wasn't married, I'd make you my wife.

Verse 3:

Then she looked away with tear drops in her eyes

Stared up at the moon hanging way up in the sky.

there was nothing he could say, there was nothing he could do

to set her heart at ease and prove his love was true.

He would never run away, never make her his wife.

and she swore then and there he'd pay with his life.

Verse 4:

So she took his hand and laid it on her breast

What was on her mind, something he would never guess

He spread a blanket on the ground behind a big oak tree

hardly made a sound where no one else could see

then a shot split the night and the morning papers read

a man was found in the park with a bullet in his head.

Realhousewife,

lol...with 3 ex-wives, 3 grown daughters and a grand daughter, it is becoming easier to write from the female perspective....I have always been a lover of ladies and of course....cats.

Chuck - then you are a very smart man:) all the smart guys have smart ladies in their lives:)

My poor husband - (has lots of ex girlfriends no ex wives yet!) but 3 daughters, female cat and me to live with. I got a male dog just so he wouldn't be lonely! LOL!

Real Housewife,

Thanks for dropping in and leaving your comment.

I'm very pleased you enjoyed this. My intention was to put a smile on every woman's face and a second thought in the minds of men.... I can sympathize with your husband....but I'm sure he's a very happy man.

You did your job well! I'm still smiling:)

My husband is pretty darned happy - he has very simple needs - food, a litlle love from his family, clean clothing and music are just about he needs to be content and happy.
