The Wolf Of Wall Street: Music From The Motion Picture

The album containing the songs by various artists that were featured on Martin Scorsese's biographical black comedy The Wolf of Wall Street will be released on December 17, 2013, a week before the film starts showing in theaters on Christmas Day. The soundtrack album will be released through the Virgin Records label. With a running time of about an hour, the album is a nice addition to the pleasure of actually seeing the film which is considered by early critics as one of the celebrated director's best works to date. It's definitely a must-have for fans and aficionados of cinema music.

The album contains sixteen songs by fifteen different artists. These artists are as follows: Allen Toussaint, The Lemonheads, Bo Diddley, 7Horse, Romeo Void, Malcolm McLaren, The Jimmy Castor Bunch, Howlin' Wolf, Ahmad Jamal, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Eartha Kitt, Billy Joel, Joe Cuba, Elmore James and Cannonball Adderley.

The musical score for the film was composed by the award-winning composer Howard Shore who is currently working on the The Hobbit trilogy by Peter Jackson. However, it hasn't been announced yet if a separate musical package featuring the score will be released.
