Tomb Raider Underworld Strategy Guide 20: Croft Manor, Part 5

Updated on February 19, 2009

As you go through the door, you can get to the area that is under the mansion.  You will then have to do all the motions just like when you started the game:  Here they are for a quick review:

>

Go two times around the bend with flames in a corner, you will learn to jump up to a ledge.  Go up a flight of stairs to pull a lever.  Lara must go through a door, and crouch down to go further.

>

Once you are through in this area, go ahead and jump up onto a nearby ledge and down to another area.  You will need to shoot out a door, which will crumble down for you.

>

From there, it is about jumping to a ledge, jumping up to a ledge, shimmying, and other things that I will get tired of telling you to do as this guide progresses.  Make sure to drop off there, and be careful as you run to the box.

>

Push the big square box all the way to the wall, and then jump on the nearby ledge.  Lara needs to shimmy over and drop to the floor.

>

Walk over to the door and use the grapple pull the door down, and it will become a bridge.  You can walk over it to get to the other side.

>

When you get to the burning area, jump off a ledge to quickly use the grapple.  Jump to the other side, and go to a clear area and hang from the nearest ledge.  Drop to the floor.

>

All right, we are now up to the BIG EVENT that started the game.  You will see a little more cutscene this time.  Apparently, there is another Lara Croft on the loose. Lara needs to get to the tech room.  Sadly, it is not going to be that easy.

>

For some odd reason, the doors to the glass room won’t open.  Of course, this doesn’t make any sense, because the doppelganger Lara could somehow get in without a problem.

>

At least there is a huge crack above it.  If you go to the fireplace, just jump on the ledge on the right, and shimmy to the left.  Jump up, then up, and up again.  Shimmy right and you can release when you are back on the next level.

>

Go to the right until you run out of hall, and you can jump to the horizontal pole.  Climb to the top of the pole and jump to the railing there.  You can then hop to the next side.  You will see a cutscene that will lead to the next area of trial.
