Top 5 Game of Thrones Memes

One of the top shows on the premium channels is “Game of Thrones.” Airing on HBO, Game of Thrones is currently in its second season. The first season is available on DVD. In case you haven't checked out this great series yet, it is based on a gritty fantasy book series by George RR Martin. There are currently five books in the series with more planned.

The series focus on a fictional continent called Westeros. The land is undergoing great turmoil as several different people are fighting to take over leadership of this land. There are many great synopses available if want to learn more. One important thing to note—This is a heavy show and book series, it is not fantasy appropriate for children. Don't confuse fantasy to mean that it is like Harry Potter or even Lord of the Rings. One article I read referred to it as “The Sopranos in Middle Earth.” That's a pretty apt description.

However, like anything that gains popularity today, there have been many Game of Thrones memes and Game of Thrones lolcats created by fans. Take a look at 5 of my favorite Game of Throne memes, in no particular order. (All images are attributed to the original source when possible.)
