Top 50 Sexiest Songs of All Time, Part II

Here is part two of the countdown of the 50 sexiest songs of all time, counting down from number 40 to 31. Well maybe not exactly the sexiest, but more like the most popular songs that are talking about baby-makin'. The is a compilation of the highest performing songs that are solely about the subject matter, based on its ranking on the Billboard's Hot 100 over the past 50+ years.

It's hard to argue with the stats, but I find that my personal 'sexy' list would be arranged a little bit differently. Of course, I wasn't even alive when some of these songs were released, so I didn't get to appreciate it when it was in its glory days. Nevertheless, here it is.

Let me know what you think by leaving some comments at the bottom.

Interesting Fact: Sylvia wrote this song and hoped that Al Green would sing it.  However, he felt the song was too 'risque' for his religious convictions.  Sylvia eventually recorded it herself and released it on her album 'Pillow Talk'.

#37) Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard

College Girls: God bless this song. Any guy that's been to any kind of college party knows the power this songs holds. I don't know what it is about this song that makes the ladies go crazy when it comes on, but I love the fact that it does. The song is over twenty years old, but still makes the hotties jump up on tables and shake it. Pour Some Sugar on Me + Cheap Beer = One Awesome Night (plus it can be multiplied over several nights!).

Getting to the Point: The French phrase Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)? translates into English as Do you want to sleep with me (tonight)?  You gotta love a group of women that cuts straight to the point, even if it is in French.

#31) Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

Album: So

Album Released: May 19, 1986

Genre: Rock/Pop

Label: Charisma/Virgin

Dirty Talk without being Dirty: These lyrics: "Show me round your fruit cage, cuz I will be your honey bee/ Open up your fruitcage, where the fruit is as sweet as can be" are classic!  I wonder how many parents let their kids sing along to this song without catching on to all the metaphors.
