Waltz Across The Kitchen

verse 1:

As we waltzed across the kitchen, I held you tight

I asked you if you loved me and you said you just might

now there's nothing I wouldn't give, nothing I wouldn't do

to waltz across the kitchen, just one more time with you.

verse 2:

you were wearing a flannel night gown, no shoes on your feet

all I had on were my raggedy faded jeans

the radio was playing an ole Bob Wills tune

as I waltzed across the kitchen, waltzed that night with you

chorus:

some nights, I dream of that morning I held you in my arms

back when our love was new and your passion was still warm

Faded Love on the radio and your lips touching mine

In my dream we waltz across the kitchen one more time.

verse 3:

As we waltzed across the kitchen, I held you tight

I asked you if you loved me and you said you just might

now there's nothing I wouldn't give, nothing I wouldn't do

to waltz across the kitchen, just one more time with you.

the end.
