What makes me a huge Led Hed and my favorite songs by them.

Updated on September 18, 2014

A great flight by a great band!

TRB

Remember the good old days when it seemed like you heard a Zeppelin song everywhere you went? I do, and they were great times!

Why I am a Led Hed-

Led Zep had a knack of reaching the audience in a way that few bands could. whether it was the high pitched, belting vocals, the drum solos, the guitar riffs, or the variety of beats and changing style, this band kept us listening all day. They could play heavy metal, blues, blue grass, country, and any type of rock and folk, and master it. Who else could do what they did? No one!

This was the band that Kieth Moon said would go over like a led balloon. Other than Jimmy Page, they were no names and misfits in the world of rock and roll. But, when you look at the 3 that sir James picked, you have the best voice of the 70s, a wild animal on drums who could follow any beat or play right through it, and of course, there was the musical genius. Their chemistry was still much more noticeable than their talent. I love VH, Boston, Ozzy, The Who, The Stones, The Ramones and so many more, but there is one band that changed rock forever...pretty much from day one!

My Favorite Songs-

I loved Dyer Maker for the lyrics and beat. This was a reggae take off and I loved it!

Who didn't love Whole Lotta Love? Robert's screaming, Jimmy's wild rifts and Bonham's roll made this a classic among classics!

In the Light -Not a hit, just a classic.

10 Years Gone- When a hundred years are gone, Americans will still love this one!

The lost wonder hit from the 70s, Traveling Riverside Blues. The awesome sequel to the Lemon Song that stayed unreleased for decades!

Good Times Bad Times made me an instant fan!

Fool in the Rain has some unbelievable rifts from Jimmy, and though robert's voice was starting to go that year, he nailed this one and In the Evening in 1980! Jimmy really proved his creativity on this album. especially with these 2 hits.

Your time is gonna come- Lying cheating hurting...that's all you ever seem to dowoohoo!

But my favorite? That is probably a toss up between Kashmir and Over the Hill and Far Away. I loved hearing Plant scream and Page blow up amps! Who doesn't love Zep? Whoever, they are not allowed here!

Please leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite tunes by the Mighty LZ was and thanks for reading!
