I remember my first bike very vividly, it was red with a silver stripe, had rusty spokes and a tear on the left side of the seat. Although it was over forty years ago I can still remember every last detail as if it were yesterday. Certain songs can do the same thing, stir emotions and memories from a time long ago.
There are songs that can bring you back in time to relive your first kiss, remember your first love and maybe even your first heartache. These songs are implanted deep in our subconscious and hold a special place in our hearts. Some songs make us happy and laugh and others can rip out your heart and make you cry. One thing that they all have in common is that a really good song tells our special story.
When I first starting writing this story I thought it would be very easy. All I had to do was formulate a list of my favorite songs and write about them. Sounds easy enough, however as I started writing down my favorites I realized just how many songs I have a special connection to and my list had grown way too long. I had songs from my childhood and as recent as some current pop songs on the radio.
I decided to weed out my list and come up with my first 10 songs. I have a very strong feeling there will be yet another story highlight 10 more favorite songs! These particular songs have always had a special meaning to me.
Enjoy the videos and let me know what your favorites are!
