Do you think "Battle: Los Angeles" will be another failed alien movie?

It looks amazing in previews, but I know a lot of previews pump up a crappy film to look good.

Personally I lost patience with the genre with "Independence Day" - it's been done to death and I've never liked any of them so it's a failed one in that I won't be bothering with it!

The name sounds pretty cheesy for a start. The ad looks ok though. Then again, so do most ads. I'm not too sure, I'll give it a chance and see.

well, I'm sceptical. Lots of alien movies aren't great. Previews are great for a marketing reason but the real truth of how good a movie is only revealed when you watch it.

I don't know what you mean by failed alien movie, it either is or it isn't an alien movie. It being a good film is all a matter of personal preference.

Hahahahahaha! The movie looks like crap! I was going to critique it this weekend but I'm doing "Red Riding Hood" instead. I wouldn't waste my time sitting in a theater watching another movie that has some sort of Alien invasion, at this rate they are all predictable and stupid. What was the last good alien invasion? I'll tell you the closest to a recent and good alien invasion was "Independence Day," and that movie was also not that great.
I could go on and on , but I'm telling you the movie is not worth your time, just watch either "Jane Eyre" or "Red Riding Hood" instead. Sure they are chick flicks but I'd rather see that then an alien movie.

I'm thinking......YEAH! While "Cloverfield" looked equally bad in its previews, I was happily suprised when I saw it and quite enjoyed it.....but this one will probably be an enormous fail!

Considering the craze this year is "Apocalypse" and "Alien Invaders" due to the Mayan 2012 prophecy, it's just another cash cow that's going to disappoint a lot of viewers because of it's compelling trailer.

Another alien take-over movie set in some major US city...what an original concept for a movie!

I think it will be a good watch but I'm sure if will slow down in the middle.  I hope that all the battle scence are during the whole movie and not the last 20minutes!

Yes, it will be another failed alien movie... the alien invasion is never successful. It's so sad, all that planning, all that advanced technology, and the pesky carbon-based ape people always somehow win the day. Bleh. I thought those chaps from War of the Worlds were off to a good start - even beginning terraforming this soggy rock into something more extraterrestrials pleasing - only to be brought low by Earth microbes?!? Pish.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, that movie got it right. Just poof, and the whole planet is vaporized. That's doing it right! None of this piddling around with attacks on individual population centers... it's too slow and gives Will Smith too much time to find our Achilles' heel.
