Many books are turned into movies nowadays.  What books would you like seen on the big screen?

'North Child' by Edith Pattou. I enjoy this book every time I read it - and it's a lot of times! It's based on a Norwegian folk tale, and has a really interesting concept. Plus, it's really descriptive.

Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein is an incredible book that could potentially make an awesome movie, as long as James Cameron or Michael Bay didn't get their claws in it. Or maybe a tv miniseries even, it is amazing.

Enid Blyton books - i would have loved to see any as a film adaptation...

    Secret Seven Series
    Famous Five Series
    Five Find-Outers

all of these would be great if adapted into a series for kids now...

I would love to see the Anne McCaffrey "Dragons of Pern" series translated to movies.  There are at least a dozen books in the series--it would keep Hollywood busy for quite some time making them all....

I'd love to see Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's Special Agent Pendergast stories made into movies. I'd especially like to see their last two, Fever Dream and Cold Venegance in that venue as the storylines seem perfect with their intrigue, suspense and mind-boggling twists and paradoxes.

Spike Lee did an amzing job on Where The Wild Things Are, 101 minutes from very little text. I wonder if someone could do the same with The Very Hungry Caterpillar?

Janet Evanovich's One For the Money is coming out! So excited to see that. big_smile I love her Stephanie Plum series. My other favorite authors are Dean Koontz and Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have yet to see Koontz's Frankenstein mini series, but I'd love it if his Odd Thomas books became full length films rather than webisodes. And Kenyon has the most amazing paranormal romance series. If her books became films, I'd be at the midnight premieres for each one.

The Nightrunner series would make great movies.

I'd also really like to see The Great Lover made into a movie but that's just because I'm curious about who would play Brooke.
