Do you watch mindless television shows or strictly educational ones?

My husband and I like to wind down in the evenings and watch some reality tv trash sometimes. It gives our minds a break from the serious stuff.

Just the commercials are enough for me. Then there are these so-called reality shows that run way, way over time. I admit that not all my television viewing is educationally based. What isn't of an educational nature, however, has scripts, actors, sets, and a director involved.

I like shows such as Breaking Bad, Dexter, and Doctor Who.

Sometimes I think that reality shows are a Dalek master plan to turn the brains of television viewers to jelly. Of course I cannot rule out the Cybermen as accomplices. I am sure the Sontarans are too much the warrior race for this type of psychological villainy. Mind you, The Master may have a hand in all of this. He likes to play games with and to control human behavior.

Wow. That is one heck of an answer. I love Dexter but am very behind on the show. I would like to rent the entire series on a cold winter weekend and get caught up. Thanks for commenting.

My husband loves the National Geographic shows and I often watch along with him. But if it were up to me I would spend every evening with the Golden Girls. Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia rule our DVR! smile

I like National Geographic and I like the Golden Girls even in re-runs.  Neither are so-called reality trash.

Haven't watch regular TV since 1995.  Rent a lot of movies though.  Simply for the entertainment.  Do radio and internet for world news.
