Yes, Peter Jackson directed the film trilogy so I wanted to be clear about which film version I was referring to. No intention of suggesting that the subject matter was his. I agree, Aragon is a great choice.
If you enjoyed the films (and you obviously did), I would recommend the books be read. Book 2 is a bit hard-going, but it is all worthwhile. As an aside I recognise and enjoy films of great Literature, but I do think Literature ought to be read.
