Is there a way to make a 3 MB picture into a 1 MB picture?
Just curious?
Sure. You can even do it in a basic program like Microsoft Paint. Just open the picture file with Paint and right at the top, there's a button called "Resize." Just type in 33 if you want it to be a third the size and then save it.

Why does a picture disappear when resizing in MS Word?Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue as I've seen it on around the net, but nobody ever answers the question, nor do they help solve the problem. I have a picture that refuses to resize without... disappearing, not even in the print...

Can you not alter a picture size anymore in edit or is that just a glitch? Now when I try to upload a small picture it blows it up and warns me that I have a blurry or pixalated image. Of course it is. I upload a 350 and you blow it up to 650...its gonna be pixalated!

How do I resize or reposition an image in a hub? The arrow left and right buttons are gone.I want to a photo in my article here on hubpages to be aligned right and to occupy less space. Right now it's so big and in the center, it fills up the entire screen.

If an image is 72 ppi can it still be printed at 300 dpi? Or will it look bad?If an image is 72 ppi can it still be printed at 300 dpi? Or is the 72 ppi image considered 72 dpi? If my portfolio is all 72ppi and I need 300 dpi do I need to reshoot everything?
