   Most anything by the Rolling Stones, especially their blues numbers, and especially 'Not Fade Away' (which is really a Buddy Holly tune). The Stone's music touches my history, my heart, and carries deep meaning...the transience of life, love, pain, and irreverence.

   I don't know if I can say it's my favorite, but one that I love along with the opening notes to the song is, Crazy, by Patsy Cline.  My parents played her music often and I think part of it is the great memories I have of my childhood and how my parents loved each other so much.  Even if the song is somewhat 'blue', the great yearning in her voice is soothing.  But I have a lot of favorite lyrics!

   i like this lyric because there are times when i've been so uplifted and happy and singing praise and then all of a sudden its like ive taken a spiritual nose dive and i can't understand why the days around me and my heart feel so heavy and downcast. the only thing i can really do is remember how much i loved to worship and be happy and sing praises nonstop and that there will be better days. it's okay to feel sad but lets pick ourselves up and remember the days when we could sing and laugh and dance and do the things that we loved to do and lets start doing them again and for me that was singing worship even in the quiet of my room, it didn't have to be in front of crowds of people.   i love this song <3

   I just love both verses. They're humbling. They give listeners an ego check.
