PBS carried a one hour program on Fats Domino's Katrina fund raiser at Tipintina's (corrected spelling) in New Orleans on Sunday. It was a great show about a great musician and admirable person, now age 81. They interspersed Fats' numbers with comments on him and his career by his fellow musicians and admirers. I hadn't realized before seeing the show what a great musician he is and had no idea of the extent of his influence on R & B and rock music. Presley and the Beatles acknowledged their debt to Fats. I liked the show so much that I'm ordering the DVD from PBS when it becomes available. In the meantime here's a link to a YouTube of his greatest hit, Blueberry Hill. Enjoy!
