I really wish I had started watching True Blood. We don't have that channel. We will probably be getting the dvds and watching as much of it as we can in one night with Death Dip, Hawaiian bread, popcorn, and random assortment of junk between us on the couch.
My fave shows: Nikita (brand new TV series) [Did a hub on Maggie Q] Modern Family Stargate Universe CSI Vegas NCIS Smallville Glee The Mentalist America's Next Top Model South Park (new series) The Office (US version) Family Guy The Simpsons
Also watched The L Word till they cut the show. Grrh!
Ever since Boston Legal went away and Tim Russert died, I haven't been able to find a can't-miss show. That's pretty much why I spend some of the time on the forums that I do. Of course, entertaining and time-killing as the forums may be, they just aren't Boston Legal or Tim Russert's Meet the Press. (Actually, I take back what I just said. I faithfully watch the Late Night talk/comedy shows (Letterman, mostly).
I don't really care if I miss these, but I do enjoy watching them if they happen to be on: "...Met your mother", Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men (although they're losing me these days), Big Bang and Criminal Minds. Without a Trace and the new Defenders isn't bad. "The Wives" (Desperate Housewives, but I hate that title) and Brother and Sisters are harmless and watchable. I lost where Law and Order SVU is, but I think it's a good show.
I think "Lie to Me" is pretty interesting. They've begun socializing it for a wider audience, but it's still a pretty clever cerebral (kind of Holmes-ian) show. Pretty politically neutral with exceptional acting. Hope it helps.
I just realized I should probably cancel my cable TV subscription, because I can get 3 out of the 4 shows I watch for free "over the air" and the other one gets posted online a week after its on TV, or sooner if I want to download it from "unsanctioned" sources. Everything else I watch is either junk or I could get from Netflix.
