DeNiro of course, Brando,Johnny Depp,Al Pacino, Denzel Washington , and even though he falls into the pretty boy category Brad Pitt is a pretty good actor.Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins round out my list
Christian Bale. Read about him doing the Machinist and then going straight to Batman Begins. He spends months at a time preparing for his roles, especially when he needs to lose or gain weight. Which is really the case in these two movies.
