Twilight series movies are welcomed by many young people, the vampires and werewolf images have brought endless and addiction.
Actually I've never seen any of the movies. I'm sure I will someday, but I'm in no rush.
I've sat through all three movies, never picked up the books though. Very bland and uninteresting. The vampires are hardly the sort dreamed up by Bram Stoker, they aren't at all frightening or intriguing. There are also strong Mormon religious overtones, particularly the film advocating abstinence and thus creating the single most passionless on screen romance ever. Vampires are generally sensual sexual beings in most fiction but Twilight presents them almost as if they are sterile eunuchs.
You can obviously tell I am NO fan of Twilight though I suppose there are worse film series out there.
Wow, here I thought I was one of the few people out there that hated those films; while being forced to watch them. I don't know if you force yourself to watch those movies for the same reason that I do, but I think the problem with "Twilight" film series is that it substitutes a lot of story content and character developments in favor of teen drama, and soft core porn for little tween and teen girls. At least, that's my observation of it anyway. However, I do have other thoughts on the franchise, but I'll save that for my review of the final two movies when they come out. sorry, i don't want to give away too much right now.
I consider it a cultural duty to see bad movies, also many of them are like a right of passage. I don't think the Twilight movies even come close to softcore porn, they lack any and all passion, the average show on Teen Nick has more sexual material than these films. Not that they should have more sex but let's face if it if I had my way these films would be R-Rated and involve REAL vampires, not sparkly aryan vampires.
No, but I'm starting to see some of the appeal of it. Although, I would hardly say that makes me a fan, as a kid can just as easily find some amusement out of a long ass boring car ride too; during a family vacation. Therefore, I wouldn't breath too much into it. I would say more, but I want to try to save as much as I can for my review of the final two films coming up soon.
um if you have attacks with no blood its makes no sence and its not for me!!!!
LOVE it!! Prefer the books but love the movies too!
Used to, then realized how stupid it was. Being eternally devoted to someone who wants to eat me? Not to mention the fact that if you took away the vampire factor, he would totally be an abusive boyfriend. Plus, so many people are way too intense about it, they actually believe in vampires and werewolves- which isn't healthy. Twilight has subtle hints of sexism and preaching religion, and shouldn't be taken as seriously as it is. I still go see the movies when they come out, but now its to laugh at them. The one good thing about the movies, though, is the music. Very good soundtracks.
I use to live an hour away from Forks, WA. I am a fan of the movies and love the books. I always watch the movies first. Then I can imagine the details in the books better.
The books weren't bad, but I am not a fan of the movies too much.
It's really a bad plot with average actors is all. Vampires that look like they're covered in kitty litter is crap.
I really enjoyed the books, and although I think the story was good, the writing was mediocre. The movies are okay because they bring the characters to life for us, but they were a disappointment compared to the books.
i agree, the books absolutely killed the movies. much more addicting! i think the story is so addicting because its a love story that you know will never happen to you but you wish it would. it shows that even evil can overcome their "badness" i suppose.
I never read the book but I have heard great things from them. The movies were really disappointing and seemed lack luster.
I have read each book a few times and seen the movies at their midnight showings. I absolutely love them. The books of course are better than the movies, but hey the guys are pretty attractive in the movies!
I love the movies to an extent but the books are way better and contain lots more details.

Okay, with the whole franchise reaching it's end soon in 2012, I want to know your thoughts on this franchise? Explain the phenomenon that is Twilight to me, and tell me exactly why you think it'll either go down in cinematic history as one of the greatest love stories told....OR..you can...

Remember the passionate fighting between fans and anti-fans of the book-turned-movie, 'Fifty Shades of Grey'? Well, 'Fifty Shades Darker' is now being filmed - and there is still one more movie after this, 'Fifty Shades Freed'. The problem with these books is that they ARE written harmfully and...

Out of all the Twilight Movies which one is the best or you love the most?

I know young girls are in love with the Twilight Saga. I never got into the movies because I wasn't a fan of Bella, and I didn't care for the mushy love story. Now, I LOVE the Underworld Series! In my mind, vampires are not supposed to be sparkly and sweet, but morbid and kinda gross. Plus, I love...
