   Does it suprise anyone that he and his girlfriend are broken up?
   
   It happened a couple of weeks after she said that she wanted to get married and have kids someday.

      I really think he is gay.  The girlfriends are a smoke screen.  He should just be who he is.  He is a great actor, straight of gay!

         it's possible, as i know he wouldn't be the first male sex symbol to turn out to be secretly gay, as i know rumors have it that rudolph valentino was gay, and he was a heart throb to a lot of girls back in the silent film era.  however, i don't think george is gay.

   Just because someone is not married in their 50s does not mean they are gay. As he said, he was married once and that was enough.

      You could assume that is was not unusual for a man in his 50s not to be married, if he was extremely shy, not that attractive, withdrawn and awkward with woman.  But George Clooney is none of those. He always strongly reminded me of Rock Hudson. Now a days, if he came out people would not love him less.  A few fantasies would be dashed...that's about it.

         that's true, but the number of roles he would get would probably get reduced.  not saying there's anything wrong with being gay, but the reality is that gay actors don't get as many parts offered to them as straight ones do.

         Sorry, but that is BS. The way a person looks has nothing to do with whether or not they are single in their 50s. Some just decide that they do not want to be married.
         
         Obviously George Clooney does not want children and he does not want to get married.

            Don't get upset uninvited.  Just speculation, you don't have to agree with me.  I was floored when I found out John Travolta was gay.  Just couldn't believe it.  So I researched it further and they say it is common knowledge in Hollywood and the press.  Go figure.  You do realize you can be gay and married too, right?

               I don't care if anyone is gay or not but I'm tired of people who think that if you are not married in your 50s there must be something wrong with you.

   I know exactly how he feels, having been married once and that was totally enough!  Why must people put their own expectations on others?  There is nothing wrong with being single and loving it, is there?  I don't think we should try to make a big mystery out of it, the man likes being single!  Many people do, and yet they force themselves to be in a pair when they do better solo - it is never a good idea.  I think the world could use a few more single people who are glad to be that way!

      No kidding.  Once is enough for him and he just doesn't want it again.
      
      I'm single, never been married, and plan to always stay that way.  I'm perfectly happy like this too.  Being single isn't a crime.

   The John Travolta story was debunked, some newspaper was sued over it and ended up paying a pretty big settlement for putting another bump in that guys divorce.
   
   I never really get the gay vibe from Clooney, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong!
