Does anyone watch cartoons even though you are way too old for the assumed target audience?
I don't know about people claiming 'way too old'. I just want those people to look at hentai, loli and other adult animes. As for kids liking cartoons which has science part in it, they're just enjoying flashy stuff. Marvel and some other studios are very good at adding science inside animation series, it's hard for kids to understand that.
Cartoons are not just for kids. If anyone is claiming something like that, pity on his/her childhood and current life.
No, I think the Flintstones were the first cartoon to prove that and since then we've seen well-written, critically acclaimed cartoons that appeal to various demographics.
