It is said that the movie attempted to keep the events of J. Edgar Hoover respectful and I admire that but question what bits of history were left out that are pertinent to us today?
I am dismayed that the exile of Chaplin has never really been highlighted. We, the American people, need to know these facts in order to participate in government and send a message of what the democracy wants.
Please no democracy comments here - just historical facts that we must remember in order to not repeat.
